Let's do something outrageous, in flyover country. Let's have a drag queen luncheon at a bar - WITH KIDS. We'll get all those drag queens, with all those kids, at the luncheon, then we'll surround the place with a bunch of armed "guards". We'll publicize this outrageous event, and see if we can goad someone into counter protesting. Just think of the body count! Just think of the headlines if we manage to kill a bunch of children at a gay event!
Well, that's exactly what gay pride and Antifa thought was a great idea. It is unclear how many children attended the event, but at least one woman is on video, proudly showing off her kid. It is also unclear whether alcohol was served at the event. Texas has liberal laws regarding minors and alcohol - but one doesn't generally invite children to a bar anywhere in this country.

The streets outside a bar in a small town in Texas became the scene of a heated confrontation between people protesting a ‘family-friendly’ drag show hosted by the establishment and defenders of the event, some of whom were armed.The protesters accused the bar of “grooming children” by exposing them to sexual content, as they gathered to protest the show last Sunday. But according to reports from the scene on social media, they were outnumbered by activists from the opposite camp, who dismissed the demonstrators as ‘bigots’ and ‘transphobes’.
A “kid-friendly” drag brunch for all ages was guarded against protests by armed Antifa militants carrying AR-15s. The drag event was held at the Anderson Distillery and Grill in Roanoke, Texas.
The event called the Barrel Babes Drag Brunch was advertised as “Dancing Music and Laughs.” Journalist Taylor Hansen said that the “kid-friendly” event featured “Vulgarity, Sexualization of Minors, and Partial Nudity.”
At least some of the defenders of the show were armed, and were reportedly members of Antifa. They were presumably there to offer security for the patrons, performers, and the business.

Texas Man Gets Five Years in Prison for Third Human Smuggling Conviction
(CNSNews) – Texas resident Eric Mendiola was sentenced this month by a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas to five years in prison, followed by two years of supervised release, after he pleaded guilty to human smuggling for the third time.
An affidavit attached to the criminal complaint that was filed with the court by a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) explained the situation leading to Mendiola’s arrest.
On March 20, 2022 at around 11:15 p.m., a “blue tractor hauling a white trailer” arrived at a Border Patrol checkpoint on Highway 77 near the town of Sarita, Texas. When a Border Patrol agent asked Mendiola what was in the trailer, Mendiola informed the agent that he was “hauling broccoli.”
After a service canine named “Tommy” alerted the Border Patrol agents to the trailer, Mendiola and the two passengers with him (who he said were his “wife and daughter”) were instructed to step outside of the vehicle while the agents inspected his trailer.
In the trailer, according to the affidavit, a “total of 31 subjects were found on top and between pallets of broccoli.”
“The temperature inside the trailer was recorded at 41 degrees according to the thermometer on the reefer,” the affidavit said. “All the subjects appeared noticeably cold and were shivering due to being inside the refrigerated trailer.”
After each of the 31 subjects was “questioned and determined to be illegally present in the United States,” the border patrol agents arrested Mendiola as well as the aliens he had been smuggling.
The affidavit filed on March 22 also includes a brief description of each of Mendiola’s two prior arrests:
“On 8/23/2016, MENDIOLA was arrested at the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint for attempting to smuggle undocumented aliens. MENDIOLA was subsequently convicted and sentenced to 12 months and 1 day BOP.
“On 03/10/2019, MENDIOLA was arrested at the Javier Vega Jr. Border Patrol Checkpoint for attempting to smuggle undocumented aliens. MENDIOLA was subsequently convicted and sentenced to 12 months BOP.”
Mendiola "pleaded guilty to illegally transporting undocumented aliens within the United States" on May 23, 2022, according to a statement released by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas.
On August 17, 2022, Mendiola was given the maximum sentence of 60 months followed by two years of probation for human smuggling, according to a press release published that day by the U.S. attorney.
“At the hearing, the court heard additional evidence that this is Mendiola’s third conviction for smuggling humans,” said the U.S. attorney’s release.
“In handing down the sentence,” said the release, “the court noted the manner in which Mendiola transported individuals.”
“At the time of his plea, Mendiola admitted that on March 20, Mendiola drove a tractor trailer into the Border Patrol checkpoint near Sarita,” it said. “At inspection, A K-9 soon alerted authorities to the presence of concealed humans. Law enforcement opened the doors of the trailer and discovered individuals hiding behind a load of produce.
“In the trailer were 31 undocumented aliens--19 from Mexico; five, four and two from Columbia, Guatemala and El Salvador, respectively; as well as one Honduran national. All were determined to be in the United States illegally. In addition, the temperature inside the refrigerated trailer was 41 degrees Fahrenheit.”
“Mendiola will remain in custody pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility to be determined in the near future,” it said.
Third conviction is good for five years? That's preposterous. He has been caught three times, presumably got away with it other times. The first time was only a one year sentence, the second was only 1 year, and there is no indication that he actually served a full year in prison for either conviction.
IMO, the first conviction should have been good for 5 years, the second 10 years, and this, the third, should be no less than 20 years in prison. Forget about "good time", serve the entire sentence, day-for-day.
No matter your thoughts and opinions on immigration, you've surely read of trailers loaded with people who were left to die under the Texas sun. But, lawmakers are willing to tolerate the ongoing carnage at the border.

NOLA mayor fights to end the “federal consent decree” that “handcuffs” officers, caused mass resignations
NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Democratic Mayor of New Orleans, LaToya Cantrell, is calling for the end of the decade old federal consent decree with her police department.
Mayor Cantrell says that it is not only creating a hardship for officers to do their jobs but also driving them away from the city.
The New Orleans Police Department agreed to a federal consent decree in 2012 which was designed to combat alleged acts of corruption within the ranks of the agency.
The consent decree was signed and went into effect in July of that year after it was signed by former mayor Mitch Landrieu and former Attorney General Eric Holder.
The consent decree mandated new policies and procedures, as well as federal oversight into anything the law enforcement agency did, something that no one is arguing, was needed ten years ago.
However, since that time, the mayor and others argue that the agency has been able to come into compliance with current laws so it is no longer necessary and is currently only causing a burden.
At a recent news conference, Mayor Cantrell said:
“The consent decree handcuffs our officers by making their jobs harder, pestering them with punitive punishment and burying them with paperwork that is an overburden.”
I say, tough titties, New Orleans. Your Democrat government is as corrupt as any in the country, including Chicago. And, I, for one, have not forgotten that NOLA cops shot at black people for having the audacity to seek shelter while black, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
If the feds end New Orleans consent decree, a whole bunch of people need their heads examined. And, any judge who finds in favor of New Orleans police request needs to be disbarred.
Police work was never meant to be easy, anyway. STFU and do your jobs, or resign. There are other people needing jobs.

UK’s National Health Service has ordered the closure of a controversial gender clinic for children over a report revealing that some health staff felt pressured to take “an unquestioning affirmative approach” to children experiencing gender dysphoria.
The Tavistock Centre, in north London, is known as the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS). Tavistock was founded in 1920 and originally focused on helping WWI shellshock victims. Since then it has grown to encompass a variety of services under the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust banner, with GIDS focusing on child gender issues. Since 1989 GIDS has treated 19,000 children with gender dysphoria (the feeling that one’s true identity is the opposite gender of their physical body).
The external report expressed concerns, among them the lack of knowledge about the effects of puberty blockers. Dr. Hilary Cass, the head of the review, wrote a letter to the head of NHS England on July 19:
…the most significant knowledge gaps are in relation to treatment with puberty blockers, and the lack of clarity about whether the rationale for prescription is as an initial part of a transition pathway or as a ‘pause’ to allow more time for decision making.
We do not fully understand the role of adolescent sex hormones in driving the development of both sexuality and gender identity through the early teen years, so by extension we cannot be sure about the impact of stopping these hormone surges on psychosexual and gender maturation. We therefore have no way of knowing whether, rather than buying time to make a decision, puberty blockers may disrupt that decision-making process.
It’s interesting to read a professional admitting that they do not know everything about gender dysphoria and transition because every time I hear an “expert” they sound as if there are no unanswered questions and that we have a full understanding of the effects of hormone blockers and surgery. THOMSON, Ga. - Upson County Sheriff's deputies said a hand-held massager that resembled a gun prompted a lockdown at all schools in Upson County.
Deputies reported that the incident occurred on Tuesday around 11:50 a.m. when a parent dialed 911 stating their child saw another student with a handgun while in the boy's restroom at school.
Authorities were able to notify school staff, which caused the entire school district to be placed on lockdown.
"Through investigation, it was found that a male student had a hand-held massager that resembled a handgun. The student in possession of the massager admitted that he possessed it in the restroom and pointed it at another student," Thomson-Upson County officials said.
There were no injuries reported.

News2Share has obtained previously unreleased footage of a July 7, 2020 incident in which ATF Agent James Burk attempted to make contact with a member of the Columbus, Ohio community, who then called 911.
When Columbus PD officers Joseph Fihe and Kevin Winchell arrived, Agent Burk did not comply with their commands, even at gunpoint. The officers tased Agent Burk in the process of subduing him.
Agent Burk - who in 2015 was charged with shoplifting wine from a Kroger grocery story - is now suing the officers for excessive force.

DEERFIELD TWP., Ohio – A federal agent is charged with stealing wine from a Kroger store after employees grew suspicious and alerted authorities.
Police say ATF agent James Burk took expensive wine to the self-checkout lane and charged himself a small percent of the cost.
Burk was charged by the Warren County Sheriff's Office for stealing more than $200 in wine from the Landen Kroger.
According to deputies, they caught Burk going to the self-checkout in August and paying $19 for four bottles of wine that had a total price tag of $222.
The report says Burk bought bottles of Stag's Leap Wine priced at $62.99 and $33.99, but the code he entered charged him only $4.99.
According to the report, Kroger employees had grown suspicious of Burk and began watching him. They said he did the same thing multiple times.

Throughout the entire encounter, Burk screamed multiple excuses as to why he should not be treated the way the Feds treat regular people every day.
And, none of the above addresses the issue of ATF agents knocking on doors, demanding to see your weapons, without a warrant. Similar instances have been documented around the country, but in most cases the agents are cooperating with local or state cops in uniform, as opposed to showing up in civilian clothes, claiming to be a federal agent.
Agent Burk is an embarrassment to any non-Nazi, non-fascist law enforcement agency.

DC requests National Guard help with busloads of migrants
The crisis began in spring when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced plans to send busloads of migrants to Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON: The District of Columbia has requested National Guard assistance to help stem a “growing humanitarian crisis” prompted by thousands of migrants that have been sent to Washington by a pair of southern states.
Mayor Muriel Bowser formally asked the White House last week for an open-ended deployment of 150 National Guard members per day as well as “suitable federal location” for a mass housing and processing center, mentioning the D.C. Armory as a logical candidate. She met on July 21 with Liz Sherwood-Randall, assistant to the president for homeland security, and Julie Chavez Rodriguez, director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.The crisis began in spring when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced plans to send busloads of migrants to Washington, D.C., in response to President Joe Biden’s decision to lift a pandemic-era emergency health order that restricted migrant entry numbers.
Since then the city estimates that nearly 200 buses have arrived, delivering more than 4,000 migrants to Union Station, often with no resources and no clue what to do next.
A coalition of local charitable groups has been working to feed and shelter the migrants, aided by a $1 million grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. But organizers have been warning that both their resources and personnel were nearing exhaustion.
“This reliance on NGOs is not working and is unsustainable — they are overwhelmed and underfunded,” Bowser said in her letter. She has repeatedly stated that the influx was stressing her government’s ability to care for its own homeless residents and required intervention from Biden’s government.
“We know we have a federal issue that demands a federal response,” Bowser said at a July 18 press conference.
In her letter, Bowser harshly criticizes Abbott and Ducey, accusing them of “cruel political gamesmanship” and saying the pair had “decided to use desperate people to score political points.”
Bowser does not have the authority to personally order a National Guard deployment, an issue that has become emotionally charged in recent years as a symbol of the district’s entrenched status as less than a state.
Her limited authority played a role in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the Capitol building by supporters of former President Donald Trump. When it became clear that the US Capitol Police were overmatched by the crowds, Bowser couldn’t immediately deploy the district guard. Instead, crucial time was lost while the request was considered inside the Pentagon, and protesters rampaged through the building.

Abbot and Ducey are doing the right thing here. Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the rest of Washington created this problem. It's best to move the problem to Washington, so Washington can deal with it.
The governors need to increase the pressure. About 100 busloads of "migrants" need to be dumped in Washington, D.C. daily. Meaning, the governors need about 600 or 700 buses at their disposal, more if they can get them.
It would be even better if some buses could be diverted to Sleepy Creepy Joe's "home town" of Wilmington, Delaware. Busloads could also be diverted to the hometowns of all the other creepy liberal politicians who refuse to address the border crisis.
There's no reason the southern border states should be absorbing millions of invaders, while Washington and it's various parasites get a free ride!
Operation Wetback took place before I was even born. I'm an old man now. Meaning, two generations of congress critter parasites have been kicking the can down the road. It is long past time for Washington to understand the tragic consequences of their inaction.
Shut the fucking border down! Get control of the drug smuggling, the human trafficking, and all the rest of the human misery flowing across the border.
If some of those illegals rape and kill a congress critter's daughter, instead of some unknown woman in Texas, or Colorado, or New Mexico, how long do you think it would take to get things under control?
