I've been struggling to deal with the slashcott for the last week. My habit was to pop into slashdot anytime I was waiting on a process to finish or between meetings and calls. It has been very hard to not go back. I've missed the commentary more than anything else. There are a lot of sites I'm fond of as alternatives, but nothing has been even close in the types, organization and community of commenter's that my former favorite news site provided.

Long live soylentnews! (or whatever it may come to be called)
