Well, my wife is looking for a not too expensive new vehicle with room in the back for a wheelchair (for our son, due to sometime behaviour problems).
Took a used Ford for a test drive because my wife liked it's size, and MAN, the MS UI in that thing sucked!!!
When we got back, the salesman told me they had dropped it for Blackberry (QNX) for the new models.
Seems there is intelligence on Earth!
Just thought i'd put that out there.
Ever since Trump went toe-to-toe with the parents of a dead Muslim veteran, the Republican Party has been in crisis mode.
Pence breaks with Trump, endorses Ryan
Pence: Trump 'strongly encouraged me to endorse Paul Ryan'
Paul Ryan is expected to win, so as irritating as the Trump non-endorsement may be to Party leaders, it might have a limited shelf life.
This fact is also amusing:
The GOP's Donald Trump freak-out
A GOP source told CNN's Dana Bash that Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus was especially frustrated because Paul Ryan and Priebus, both from Wisconsin, are very close. The source said Trump refusing to endorse Ryan in his re-election primary was "personal" especially since Priebus has "taken on a lot of water" for Trump. "He takes this very personally," said the source. Priebus "does want to show his support" for Ryan, a source tells CNN.
The chairman has been the main point of contact between Trump and the Republican Party, on which the billionaire has been relying heavily since he lacks the political infrastructure of a conventional political candidate. Priebus, who was said by the source to be incredibly upset with Trump's behavior, had expressed his disappointment and frustration to several leading members of Trump's entourage, the source said.
Is it all for naught?
A knowledgeable Republican source told CNN Tuesday that some of Trump's campaign staff -- even campaign chairman Paul Manafort -- "feel like they are wasting their time," given their boss's recent comments. But Manafort insisted to CNN Wednesaday that isn't true and any frustration centers on the media.
Okay, haven't written here for a while, got some time and something on my chest to ask: something that has been bugging me since it happened. This gun-toting 'Republic' of 'Freedom Fighters, Freedom Fries and Freedom Pies' seems to have accepted the dropping of democracy and the rise of blatant corruption. So here goes...
Are Americans apathetic?
Hillary stole money and support from Sanders, and got away with it: her friend in the DNC shuffles money away from Sanders, then says "No way!" when Sanders says it's happening. Corrupt!!!
Speaking of corruption, Hillary then WITHOUT ANY PRETENSE OR UNDER-THE-TABLENESS hires the corrupt thief and liar. Corrupt!!!
And Americans say......
Americans do.......
What what what?
Why aren't Americans in the street protesting???
1. Hillary has shown herself to be corrupt by condoning corruption in people under her and around her.
2. She blatantly reinforces and raises to a higher level, those who acted in a corrupt manner for her benefit.
3. She seems to be blowing Sanders off: rumours of her agreeing to do things he wants to shut him up, but only in the interim... then she will do what she wants after.
4. She's against the TPP, but not really and will support it once elected.
5. ...................
I know 3,4,and 5 are how politicians work, but 1 and 2 should have Americans screaming bloody Jihad or something.
Where are the protests?
Where are the cries of "CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION"?
Why are some Americans still supporting her?
I am Canadian and cannot vote in this US election, but I liked Sanders: now after Sanders giving in for "Let's beat Trump", if i WAS American, I think i'd be voting for Jill Stein who i know nothing about except for the slogan "Jill not Hill" or whatever.
Anything but Billary 'Corruption' Clinton.
Do you go quietly into this nightmare? Is everyone too busy playing Pokemon Go to protest?? WTF???
Damn, i'd vote Trump before Shillary.
Why is the U.S. so quiet about this blatant corruption???? Throw her tea into the harbour, i say!!!
Los Angeles Gang Tour Puts A Twist On Drive-Bys
2010 article I found for crutchy on IRC.
I just started using the friend feature to increase exposure of comments made by people that have a high signal to noise ratio. My technique is to use friends and friends of friends to jam the moderation score of comments as high as it can go. I'm not sure if that is the intended use case or not but so far so good.
It does, however and as far as I can tell, cause the actual moderation score of the comments to be hidden to me. Perhaps I should not mod people on my friends list due to conflict of interest but if I do feel like modding it makes it hard to tell if it will do any good or not.
I would think a feature that displays the moderated score in the system (unadulterated by user modifications) as well as the adjusted score would be a good idea.
Am I dumb and missed that Rehash already does this?
Is this idea dumb and not done for a reason?
If this passes the idiot test I'll submit a formal feature request.
I thought this was too funny not to share. This definitely reminds me of Red Green and I'm even pretty sure I hear a touch of Canadian accent in there.
I swear the air powered bicycle pump reminds me of most of the comments that happen at SN when they are technical but do not involve HTML or Perl.
