Facebook Removes Page That Aimed to 'Expose' R. Kelly Accusers

A newly launched Facebook page that sought to defend R. Kelly and "expose" his accusers in the aftermath of Surviving R. Kelly has been pulled off the social network for violating terms of service.

On Monday, after the six-part docuseries' weekend run on Lifetime, TMZ reported that "[Kelly] and his camp" were behind a pair of sites – a Facebook page called Surviving Lies and an in-the-works website bearing the same name – that aimed to clear his name and discredit his accusers. It has not been confirmed whether Kelly is actually behind the pages.

After the Facebook page launched Monday, its operators posted a previously surfaced audio recording that allegedly contradicted the story of one of the women who appeared on Surviving R. Kelly.

Also at Vulture and Billboard.

Folks, there's a Crisis in our Country. The likes of which this Nation has never known. Drugs, Criminals & Illegals poring over our Southern Border. I promised to do whatever it takes to get border security. And, I keep my promises. As everyone knows.

"Trump could be the most honest president in modern history. When you look at the real barometer of presidential truthfulness, which is promise keeping, he is probably the most honest president in American history. He’s done exactly what he said he would do." Marc Thiessen, WPost

Thank you, Marc. I do what I say I'll do, that's so true. Even if it means COMPROMISING. Dems said, "oh, the Wall is so ugly and we can't see through it!" So I offered the compromise. We can do Steel Slat Barrier -- Made In U. S. A. -- instead of Concrete Wall. We have a beautiful design for that one. It'll be totally effective. Stronger -- we love Strength. And a lot less obtrusive. And you can see through it. If some guy is throwing 60-pound sacks of Drugs over it, you see him. And you don't get clobbered by those heavy sacks. So important to Safety. You can see what's going on, so it's safer than Concrete Wall. Smart!

Everyone will be watching me tonight at 9pmE. Prime Time. On all Networks and on my YouTube Channel. Don't miss out, folks. People are saying it'll be the highest rated Broadcast ever in the history of this World. And so important to my 2020 Campaign. We're going to be building our Border Barrier for many years. And many people are saying I may need a 3rd Term. youtu.be/rbbOmqPdmMc

Uber driver pleads guilty to killing six people between rides

An Uber driver charged with killing six strangers in between picking up passengers pleaded guilty to murder in Michigan on Monday, just before attorneys were set to interview jurors for his trial.

[...] The 48-year-old Dalton answered “yes” to a series of questions, admitting that he shot eight people at three locations. After his arrest, police quoted Dalton as saying a “devil figure” on Uber’s app was controlling him on the day of the shootings.

Could this "devil figure" be an undocumented feature of Uber's app that is being pushed out to some drivers to test mind control?

My wife has been watching the Netflix show Lucifer. I watch it with her as I read my tablet/post on SoylentNews.

One moment caught my eye and made me appreciate the show more: at one point Lucifer plays "All along the watchtower" on the piano. I enjoy that song and it caught my attention...
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SFDOSIecALU
...the song ends and Lucifer's mother walks in: and it's Tricia Helfer, '6' from Battlestar Galactica.

NICE little touch!
I like it when there are little touches like that (another one: Archer doing a Bob's Burgers cross-over).

Anyone else notice things like this?

Arizona police investigate after 'vegetative patient gives birth'

Police in the US state of Arizona have launched a sexual assault investigation amid reports a patient in a vegetative state for a decade gave birth.

The woman is a patient in a clinic run by Hacienda HealthCare near Phoenix.

Hacienda HealthCare gave no details but said it was aware of a "deeply disturbing incident".

A local CBS station said the baby was healthy and quoted a source as saying that staff had been unaware the woman was pregnant.

The woman has not been identified.

"It's a miracle!" says an Anonymous Coward.

Brand new Congress starting "work" today. Big week for them. I call it Infrastructure Week. Great meeting yesterday with Mitch of the Senate. Senator Mitch, very big guy in our Senate. And, looking forward to some great "meetings" with Nancy from the House. And of the House. Great time to think about, let's get building. And I have some terrific ideas about what we can build (Wall) to make our Country much STRONGER, SAFER & RICHER. America First!!!

War on Christmas. What the hell?

Why is the War on Christmas such a big deal for people?

First of all: the War on Christmas does not exist. No one is declaring war on a holiday. Some people may not want to participate. Some people may not want to say Merry Christmas. Some people may hate Christmas with a passion and every Christian too. So what? This does not make a war.

Around these parts this was taken to the next level inside of a community I'm a member of. Right around the start of the holidays 2 people out of say 10 regulars and 30 non-regulars started an aggressive Merry Christmas campaign. Aggressive as in saying Merry Christmas to as many people as possible? No, this is a weaponized Merry Christmas.

"Merry Christmas and I hope that does not offend you and if it does too bad go somewhere else." Sigh. No one ever even mentioned any such thing at all. This just came out of the blue. The holidays really brings out the worst in some people I guess.

Around the same time true colors started to come out. These Christmas Warriors (not sure what else to call them) I suppose then became comfortable with each other and really let their opinions be known. You see, it's the Jews fault. They are terrible people - all of them. In fact they are a bunch of whiny cry babies that weren't even murdered that much in WWII really.

What is the end result? The community is vacant of all but 1 of these people now. And that person is constantly asking if anyone is around and wondering why the place has been vacant.

Thanks for driving everyone away - quite the Christmas present. It's obvious your heart is full of love and Christian ethics.
