BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A gunman opened fire with a rifle Saturday at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, in what authorities called a “hate crime and racially motived violent extremism,” killing 10 people and wounding three others before being taken in custody, law enforcement officials said.
The suspect was identified as Payton Gendron of Conklin, about 200 miles southeast of Buffalo in New York state, two law enforcement officials told The Associated Press. The officials were not permitted to speak publicly on the matter and did so on the condition of anonymity. The suspect was being questioned Saturday evening by the FBI, one of the officials said.

A Modest Proposal to prevent Abortions
An effective way to prevent abortions is to prevent pregnancies.
Contraception is not 100% effective.
The logical choice is to outlaw all sex between men and women in Republican states where Abortion even to save the mother's life is a concern. This is the only 100% sure way to prevent all abortions.
No need to even wait for a law. This is a problem women could take charge and fix! Women in Republican states could simply refuse to have sex with their husbands. Especially if they are in the legislature.
This proposal seems more modest than some other modest proposals.

- the surgical proposal would still leave men having sex, just not causing pregnancies. This might be more like a win-win situation for many men.
- this present proposal would help focus the mind on the problem
- since this proposal may negatively affect men instead of negatively affecting women, it might get the attention of legislators

Whatever else is true, the claim with which we are bombarded by the corporate press — the two parties agree on nothing; they are constantly at each other's throats; they have radically different views of the world — is patently untrue, at least when it comes time for the U.S. to join in new wars. Typically, what we see in such situations is what we are seeing now: the establishment wings of both parties are in complete lockstep unity, always breathlessly supporting the new proposed U.S. role in any new war, eager to empty the coffers of the U.S. Treasury and transfer it to the weapons industry while their constituents suffer.

Lettuce be clear about what Michael Flynn said on a video that’s been making the rounds on social media.
While on what appeared to be a video panel, Flynn, the former National Security Advisor under former U.S. President Donald Trump, mentioned that “Somebody sent me a thing this morning where they’re talking about putting the vaccine into salad dressing, or salads.” So basically Flynn was sharing his “thing” or someone else’s “thing” with whomever happened to be watching the video panel. Was Flynn actually tossing around a conspiracy theory about Covid-19 vaccines being secretly put in salads or salad dressing? Did he leave any context behind what he said? Was their any chard evidence behind what he said?

Flynn, by the way, is not known to be a medical doctor nor a public health expert. Flynn had served as an adviser to Donald Trump’s 2016 Presidential campaign. After Trump had assumed the position, as U.S. President, that is, Flynn then became the U.S. National Security Advisor for the Trump Administration. Flynn lasted for approximately two Scaramuccis (just a few days over 20 days) before resigning amidst questions about whether he had secret discussions with the Russian ambassador to the U.S., as reported by Julina Borger for The Guardian. We generally start these by noting that Michael Flynn was a three-star general. It is difficult to conceive of how many officers wash out long before they get a full bird, never mind getting a star, a second, and a third. There’s only one star remaining and you’re a flag officer. We assume that he was mentally well in that climb up the ladder, and we assume that he is most certainly not mentally well right now.
Retired Army Lieutenant General and disgraced ex-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn is a notorious peddler of outlandish conspiracy theories, especially those that originate inside QAnon or spew from the pouty lips of former President Donald Trump. The signal causes “IP36 gene deletion” among the vaccinated. And that’s when the eating of brains begins.
What. The. Fuck? Well, if brain-eating is all that happens then Flynn has nothing to worry about, never mind the vaccine. He can walk openly into Starbucks, sit down, read the paper, watch the horror all around him, and enjoy his “skinny carmel latte,” while reading the local Q-anon news.
Clearly we need the government to require Big Tech not to suppress such important information. And stop labeling it as lies, conspiracy theories and misinformation. Because all points of view are of equal value. And some are more equal than others.
