    Make your submission ready for publication without any work on their part, other than reviewing it.

    Make sure all your lickable clinks are in good working odor.

    If possible have something short, light and clever to say. Bonus if it has dark undeertones.

    There are few editors, but lots of us submitting them. Do a bit of work to lighten their load.
