David Knowles went out to search for the dancing spider he found over 20 years earlier also found more species along with the Hokey Pokey [abc.net.au]. When he last visited the area he didn't collect a specimin, which is a requirement for securing a scientific classification for a species. The official name which has been published in the journal Pekhamia (pdf) [peckhamia.com] for the new "Hokey Pokey" two peacock spiders he found Maratus tortus and Maratus unicup. Another aspect to these spiders that makes them unusual is that according to Dr Otto says he's never seen a female eat the male, and the male pats the female on the head before starting his mating dance.
