President Trump has accused former President Obama of... something:

In a string of tweets posted early Saturday morning, President Trump let loose a barrage of accusations at his predecessor. He alleged that former President Obama had his "wires tapped" in Trump Tower before Election Day last year, accusing Obama of "McCarthyism" and being a "bad (or sick) guy."

Trump, who is under significant scrutiny for his administration's contacts with Russia before he took office, offered no evidence to support his claims Saturday morning. Neither the White House nor Obama's office has responded immediately to NPR's requests for comment.

[...] Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

Is it legal for a sitting President to be "wire tapping" a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017

I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017

How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!

I believe that there probably was some sort of listening in on phones in Trump tower, although I don't think it was directly from Obama, and if he knew all the details I would be surprised.

Even if there was an illegal wiretapping operation ordered directly by Obama, he likely wouldn't know all the details for plausible deniability. Of course, in such a hypothetical case, he probably wouldn't have directly ordered it for the same reason.

I am guessing that the FBI and/or the Justice department used what they knew about the Trump organization, including Trump's own request directly to Russia in July 2016 to hack the dems:

“I will tell you this, Russia: If you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” the Republican nominee said at a news conference in Florida. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

So you think a sarcastic public request is grounds for a criminal investigation?

I dunno. If I made a sarcastic public request for people to support ISIS, do you think there would be a criminal investigation?

What is the point of that question? There wouldn't be a legitimate reason for the investigation, but that doesn't mean in an era of federal bureaucracies justifying their budget, that there wouldn't be an investigation.

khallow, obviously it was an obvious rebuttal of your rather idiotic dismissal of
Trump's request for his Russian Minions to hack the DNC and Hilary as merely being sarcasm! Oh, the person claiming sarcasm on the part of the Drumfuerer, does not understand sarcasm in response? I am once again totally dumbfounded by your disingenuity, khallow. How much lower can you sink? Hitler did some good? Moussolini make the trains run on time? Vlad did not impale everyone, you know.

I doubt you think so. You've failed to slip past even my feeble sarcasm detectors.

Oh, the person claiming sarcasm on the part of the Drumfuerer, does not understand sarcasm in response?

A completely irrelevant consideration. The FBI doesn't consult me on what sarcasm is.

          To no one's surprise.

Since you're the one doing the sinking here, I guess we'll have to wait till the next episode to find out!

My point in this discussion is that a lot of people are losing their shit over Trump. They're knee-jerking away. Even more important, IMHO this seems to be what most of them want despite protestations to the contrary. The ritual is more important than communication or persuasion. Take your post, for example. You can string words together, but it's such an obvious mess this time even I don't take them seriously. Introduce Trump and you gleefully take leave of your senses.

What part of "including" was unclear?

There was nothing unclear about the term, "including". The consideration in question shouldn't have been included in the first place which is why I made my comment.
