A suspicious package that turned out to contain horse manure sparked a bomb scare near the Los Angeles home of US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, reports say.
The gift-wrapped manure was found at 19:40 (03:40 GMT) at the home next to Mr Mnuchin's in Bel-Air, police said.
Police cleared the package an hour later and the Secret Service is investigating, CBS said.

There were a lot of frustrated neighbors. Including Zsa Zsa Gabor's widower.
"We have $50 million homes and we can't move, we can't get out," Prince Frederick von Anhalt, who was trapped for two hours, said. "That's bad, they have to find another way."

Large concentrations of power are top-heavy, paranoid, and require massive supporting infrastructure. This sort of thing does the equivalent of setting off a cytokine storm in said maintenance systems. I say go for it; it's exactly what they deserve.

If it means that those cops won't be in non-rich neighborhoods and won't be needlessly rousting people for jaywalking on an empty street or for carrying personal-use amounts of substances, that sounds like a plus.
USA has too many cops, apparently with no serious crimes to attend to.
...but it's more likely that TPTB will just use it as an excuse to hire more useless cops.

Indeed, the rich just got $6 tn in tax cuts that are funded by $4.5 tn in tax increases to the lower and middle class with the balance being placed on the national tab before they ultimately slash more social programs and things that benefit the lower and middle class that created all that wealth in the first place.
But, it's even worse than that. Because the government is issuing all that new debt, the price we pay for it as tax payers is going to be higher. It's also going to make it more expensive for private businesses to borrow money as they're competing with the government over investment dollars.
But, it's even worser than that as the lobbyists and tax attorneys will be the ones that influence how the IRS rights the actual regulations to implement this poorly thought out piece of legislation.
It's astonishing to me that nobody has lynched Mnuchin yet for his seditious acts.

Lynching is too kind. I'm thinking something more along the lines of that one scene from Fargo, with more of a Mortal Kombat deathtraps feel to it.
