Twitter permanently suspends Trump's account:
US President Donald Trump has been permanently suspended from Twitter "due to the risk of further incitement of violence", the company says.
Twitter said the decision was made "after close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them".
Mr Trump had earlier been locked out of his account for 12 hours.
Twitter then said that it would ban Mr Trump "permanently" if he breached the platform's rules again.
Reacting to the permanent ban, Trump 2020 campaign adviser Jason Miller tweeted: "Disgusting... if you don't think they're coming for you next, you're wrong."
It comes after Mr Trump tweeted several messages on Wednesday, calling the people who stormed the US Capitol "patriots".
Hundreds of his supporters entered the Capitol building as the US Congress attempted to certify Joe Biden's victory in the presidential election. The ensuing violence led to the deaths of four civilians and a police officer.
The siege took place just hours after Trump addressed supporters and told them: "We will never give up; we will never concede."
[...] On Thursday, Facebook said it had suspended Mr Trump "indefinitely". The popular gaming platform Twitch also placed an indefinite ban on the outgoing president's channel, which he has used for rally broadcasts. So has Snapchat.
Two online Trump memorabilia stores were closed this week by e-commerce company Shopify. On Friday, Reddit banned its "donaldtrump" forum for the president's supporters.
[...] The big question now is, can Trumpism survive without the backing of mainstream media? Or will it simply slip into the shadows of the internet?

I just don't know why there aren't uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be.

If you're a D there was no substance to the allegations. That's what I hate about you Ds- smug arrogance. Everyone who disagrees with you all is an idiot, moron, doesn't deserve to live. About 1/2 of the US population. Maybe more if votes could be counted accurately. You who preach equality, rail against racism- well, unless someone is committing racism against whiteys. Not only if you are a D is there no substance to the allegations, Republican judges found no substance to the allegations. And so, yes, you are correct, everyone who disagrees is an idiot, or a moron, and quite possibly both (cf. Runaway1956), and probably does not deserve to live, but the charity of the Liberal half of the nation keeps them going with disability benefits, social security, unemployment benefits, and all the other programs that these idiot morons try to scam. Actually, they do not deserve to live, but we keep them around because, Family means no one gets left behind. No matter how batshit crazy they have become by being sucked into the QAnon world. I'm willing to grant that you probably are an idiot. That the election fraud claims were shot down so fast in court strongly indicates that they were baseless. I certainly wouldn't raid the Capitol building for something so flimsy.

This is mostly untrue -- the claims in case after case were largely dismissed on technicalities like standing or laches, often warped beyond their usual application. This means that any evaluation of the evidence was intentionally avoided. I'd suggest the dissents in the WI Supreme Court case to get a better understanding of how seriously the judicial branch abdicated its power.

I'm not a D or a R. I am not an American.
From the outside looking in, nobody has shown to any courts satisfaction that any vote manipulation took place. Even Trumps lawyers admitted that they had no evidence. I know what the US media are reporting - and it depends on their own political bias. Try reading what the rest of the world are reading - from sources that do not have a D or R bias. Trump lost - but he had convinced himself that such a thing was unlikely, indeed he thought it was impossible. But he pissed off too many of the electorate which galvanized them into action bringing about what Trump did not believe could happen.
Where was the medicare announcement - always a few weeks away from being announced for almost 4 years? Where was the financial support for those who could not work because of the virus? How are the employment figures now compared to when he came into office. How is the national debt looking? How much iron/steel or coal industry has been restarted? How is the swamp looking now? Have there been more or fewer people being found guilty in court because of how they acted in support of a standing President. Why did he need them to act like this? Where are the tax cuts for the working man that he promised?
I'm sure you have answers that satisfy yourself - but from the outside looking in he just hasn't delivered. He has been a world-wide divisive character in the economy, trade, military alliances, nuclear weapon proliferation agreements, pitching US state against state, encouraging racial disharmony, and on, and on, and on.
His only remaining option is to now incite civil unrest, and hope that the impossible happens.

Why is it that when a Republican won, the votes we're fair and square, but when a Democrat won it was stolen?
You people just can't think straight and your bias and low education is showing: Trump lost and Trump is not as stable as he once was (which is not saying much at all). He lost and he has blown all credibility he once might have had.
Trump is a loser but unlike Hitler, he doesn't have the balls to kill himself.
Get outside once in a while and look at reality.
