  • Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks.
  • Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first.
  • This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.

What's annoying is the actual "question" as well as 4evr kinds of stupidity. Jumbles of letters and numbers being used in place of words, is a nice way to shout out that you don't have an education and/or are too lazy to actually type. It might be forgivable on a phone, it's abhorrent in any other type of communication. LOL, w8, cu, and wut4 are also great examples of words not to use in your school/professional work.

Brits would point out that tire and tyre (and Tyre) are heterographs, not homonyms.

        1) tire: to become tired, wearied.
        2) tyre: the (optional) removable/replaceable outer surface of a wheel that rolls upon a the substrate
        3) Tyre: a city in Lebanon

I am to blame for this poll.

I have not seen that page, which I do find interesting. I picked up the terminology from that font of all goodest informations: Wikipedia.

Yes, that would be nice. If the pole started out as a submission. However, I suspect some past poles were simply created in the mind of an author who then added the pole to the front page when it was time for a change.

This pole is one of several in a submission which is still in the Subs Queue.

Are polls supposed to primarily be funny? Or to allow people to express some preferences?

Of course, I prefer for most things to have some element of funny. Or at least not be taken too seriously.

Homonyms are my favorite. They make the best puns to inflict on people.

The only drawback (so far) is to be on the receiving end of an ad-homonym attack by an AC for overuse of horrible homonym puns.
