Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks.
Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first.
This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.

To be honest, I'm not sure it really matters. If an editor wants to set a poll every once in awhile, I'm sure as hell not going to object. With no vote duplication protection, its basically a just for fun thing
I'd like to see CowboyNeal stay as a the joke option. It's a bit of harmless humour that gets funnier the longer it goes on, it's handy from time to time when you have to include a 'I don't have a ___' type option in a poll, and it forces creativity in poll-making.
Fortunately, the only option that I wanted to press was available.
Dodged that bullet.

I'm very excited about the new site. The question is - what special flavor are we going to create here, or is it just going to be a straight clone of/.?

Here's some changes I'd like to see: 1) Eliminate the restriction that you can't moderate in a discussion you've posted in. For me personally, it results in me never moderating, ever. I always see a place where I want to comment, which undoes the moderation. So I don't even bother any more. It's a dumb restriction. If you want to limit it to not being able to moderate a post that's directly related to my post (such as a reply to my post, or a post mine is a reply to), that's fine.
2) Eliminate or at least reduce the "slow down cowboy!" thing. My posts usually come as bursts in a discussion.
3) Make it so I can edit my own posts (you can put a time limit on this if you want, perhaps 5 minutes).

You're batting two for two. Not only do you have first post and first vote, but you also have second UID and second comment in the entire site.
