Over at Boing-boing [thenib.com], there is notice of a cartoon at TheNib, by Charis JB [thenib.com] which, like the rug in "The Big Lebowski", really ties the alt-right, incels, and pick-up artists together.

When the pseudo-science "techniques" of pick-up artists didn't work, groups of frustrated men turned inward, curdled in their own misogyny and resurfaced as alt-right advocates when Trump ascended as their politically incorrect, pussy-grabbing liberator.

What is ironic is all these toxic males blaming the times and feminism for their inability to find women they want - they would probably have a worse go at it in say the 1950s or even earlier. They were called things like milquetoast back then. You can see these sort of characters in some of the Twilight Zones, for an example.

The cartoon would be hilarious, if not for being so spot on.
