In 2018 the Australian government rammed through bad encryption law that allows government agents to unlock phones and force people to betray the employer. The opposition supported this law saying that they would pass amendments to fix it later. Later is now. Here come the amendments. Instead of fine tuning or fixing the law, Australian politicians have extended the encryption laws [news.com.au] clearly betraying the people they represent.
