SpaceRef is reporting [spaceref.biz] that George T. Whitesides, CEO of Virgin Galactic, reiterated the commitment of both Virgin Galactic and its investors to "the goal of opening space for all". In a talk at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics SciTech Forum [aiaa-scitech.org] on January 9th, he noted that a second test vehicle is about 2/3 complete, and work on a third is planned to commence this summer. Recommendations made by the National Transportation Safety Board will be considered for the second vehicle.
