MODS/EDITORS: English is not my first language. Feel free to edit. Also a textbox for this kind of message to eds would be nice in the submission process.
I tought it would be interesting to report this soft news:
A
quote [danstonchat.com] on the French equivalent of
bash.org [bash.org],
danstonchat.org [danstonchat.org] (originally
bashfr.org [bashfr.org]), appears to have made the news around the world.
At first,
Metly buzz [meltybuzz.fr] posted an article about the quote. Other websites picked it up, and soon enough, important news websites around the world (
en [google.com],
fr [google.fr]) and other websites (i.e.
reddit [reddit.com]) were talking about it.
Although personnally, I don't mind light-hearted news from times to times, this kind of reporting from dubious sources without any background checking is a little disturbing. What do you think?
