Texas health officials have missed a key window to complete the state's first major updated count of pregnancy-related deaths in nearly a decade, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle.
Officials say the data will now be released next summer, after the upcoming Texas legislative session. That means lawmakers likely won't be able to use the data until 2025.
Health officials say the reason they don't want to publish the data now is because it is not easily and readily comparable to other states' data, and they don't want there to be room for misinterpretation when Texas' data is released.
But politicians say the data is critical for understanding the role the state's abortion law could play in the future. State Rep. Ann Johnson (D-Houston), a member of the Texas Women's Health Caucus, spoke to the Houston Chronicle about the data delay.
"There are a lot of us that want to know whether or not pregnancy in Texas is a death sentence. If we've got a higher rate of maternal mortality, we sure want to figure it out," Johnson said. "You can't figure it out if somebody's sitting on the numbers, and that's my worry."

Just insulting to their own base, but I'm sure very few conservatives will spend 10 minutes learning why RCV is better for the actual people, and worse for the entrenched authoritarians. Except both you (and that cesspool you got your "quote" from) misrepresented the statement, which was (as is right on the page you linked -- I need a shower after visiting zerohedge):
Not "We've got to kill Republicans."
I don't advocate killing people. I don't even support the death penalty.
But as Ryan (and many others have pointed out) the tiny (maybe a few thousand?) set of folks who want to use violence to advance their political goals are not welcome in the US and we should make that abundantly clear to them, with long prison sentences. And that applies to anyone, regardless of ideology/political goals who believe that political violence is acceptable.
As to those who don't use (or want to use) violence to further their political goals, have your say. If I (or others) disagree, I can have my say too. Then let the voters figure it our. You know, as defined in the US and every state constitution and amendments thereto.
tl;dr: You're amplifying inaccurate, hyperbolic rhetoric designed to legitimize political violence. Please stop.

Are you being intentionally obtuse? The point of the DeathMonkey's journal post is that the data appears to be withheld from the public, presumably because Texas Republicans won't like what it says. So, why can't we all see what the data shows, then decide for ourselves what it means and what we want to do about it? Or is that just too much to ask of our elected representatives?

Yeah, I suspect that to the way of thinking of too many Republicans, dead mothers don't vote. Of course, what they are failing to see is that the grieving family and friends that they leave behind do. I can already see that this is not going to end well for Republicans.

I'd say that folks are just reacting to the lack of something -- that is the lack of data because public officials are refusing to release it.
Whatever that data shows about pregnancy deaths, we want to see it.
