U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Acting Chairman Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Vice Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) released the fifth and final volume of the Committee’s bipartisan Russia investigation titled, “Volume 5: Counterintelligence Threats and Vulnerabilities,” which examines Russia’s attempts to gain influence in the American political system during the 2016 elections.

The Committee’s investigation totaled more than three years of investigative activity, more than 200 witness interviews, and more than a million pages of reviewed documents. All five volumes total more than 1300 pages.

DNC had Seth Rich killed, who leaked the emails to wikileaks along with his brother to stop Clinton from stealing the nomination from Sanders.

Then they named a bike rack after him.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5Y6moufbww [youtube.com]
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M3Z4eE6cJA [youtube.com]

I know that Seth Rich was involved in the DNC leak.

I know this because in late 2014 a person contacted me about helping me to start a branch of the Internet Party in the United States. He called himself Panda. I now know that Panda was Seth Rich.

Panda advised me that he was working on voter analytics tools and other technologies that the Internet Party may find helpful.

I communicated with Panda on a number of topics including corruption and the influence of corporate money in politics.
“He wanted to change that from the inside.”

I was referring to what I knew when I did an interview with Bloomberg in New Zealand in May 2015. In that interview I hinted that Julian Assange and Wikileaks would release information about Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election.

The Rich family has reached out to me to ask that I be sensitive to their loss in my public comments. That request is entirely reasonable.

I have consulted with my lawyers. I accept that my full statement should be provided to the authorities and I am prepared to do that so that there can be a full investigation. My lawyers will speak with the authorities regarding the proper process.

If my evidence is required to be given in the United States I would be prepared to do so if appropriate arrangements are made. I would need a guarantee from Special Counsel Mueller, on behalf of the United States, of safe passage from New Zealand to the United States and back. In the coming days we will be communicating with the appropriate authorities to make the necessary arrangements. In the meantime, I will make no further comment.

Stop running cover for the Bushes and Clintons and the rest of the corrupt crew who have been screwing over the US and rest of the world for decades.

Manafort had previously run a pro-Russian presidential campaign in Ukraine before signing up with Trump (for free). His business partner, Konstantin Kilimnik, was and is a Russian intelligence agent. “On numerous occasions, Manafort sought to secretly share internal Campaign information with Kilimnik,” the report finds.

The committee concedes it “was unable to reliably determine why” Manafort shared this information. However, it concluded that “some evidence suggests Kilimnik may be connected to the GRU hack-and-leak operation related to the 2016 U.S. election.” It also found “two pieces of information” that “raise the possibility of Manafort’s potential connection to the hack-and-leak operations.”

The report redacts all the evidence connecting both Kilimnik and Manafort to the hack-and-leak operation. But these aren’t anonymously floated claims by hostile elements. This was a report issued by a Republican-controlled committee that had no incentive to make Trump look guilty.

Manafort hardly dispelled the suspicions. Rather than coming clean with investigators, he bought a burner phone to communicate with Kilimnik and his former partner, Rick Gates. And he used a technique called “foldering” (writing the draft of an email, and inviting his partner to read it, before deleting it) to communicate surreptitiously. “Manafort’s true motive in deciding to face more severe criminal penalties rather than provide complete answers about his interactions with Kilimnik is unknown,” the committee concludes, “but the result is that many interactions between Manafort and Kilimnik remain hidden.” There is extensive circumstantial evidence that Manafort was playing the same role in the United States that he played in Ukraine — managing the campaign of a pro-Russia candidate on behalf of the regime-linked Russian oligarchs who paid him — but stymied the probe at its end point.

Stone, likewise, served as Trump’s link to WikiLeaks. This allowed the campaign to help steer the leaks for maximum advantage. When Trump’s campaign learned about devastating recordings of the candidate boasting about sexual assault in October, Stone told his contact, Jerome Corsi, to get Julian Assange to “drop the Podesta emails immediately.” (WikiLeaks did so.)

Stone also spoke at length with Manafort, and the next day spoke with Trump, and then drafted tweets for Trump to send, expressing a desire for friendlier relations with Russia (i.e., “I want a new détente with Russia under Putin”). Trump never sent those tweets, but the sequence of events strongly indicates Stone’s belief that Trump’s foreign policy toward Russia was linked with Russia’s campaign assistance.

The committee did not establish a quid pro quo. But Stone, like Manafort, did not cooperate. Instead, he lied to investigators. Trump also lied (in written answers to Mueller) about his conversations with Stone. You can say this is a lack of proof, but it is certainly not a lack of evidence of collusion. The evidence is extensive.

In a court of law, any defendant is entitled to a presumption of innocence. In the court of public opinion, the rules work differently. All the evidence points to the conclusion that Trump colluded with Russia and persuaded his top lieutenants to cover up their guilt. The traditional investigative technique of exposing a corrupt organization by flipping the mid-level staff against the boss doesn’t work when the boss has the power to pardon them and is shameless enough to use it. But the bipartisan Senate report has laid bare enough of the reality that was clear all along: They acted guilty because they were guilty.

So with the key players lying and destroying all evidence there is pretty much no way to prove conclusively that Trump colluded with Russia, but only a moron would think there was any doubt. It is sad that rich people get the proper application of the US justice system, because so many others are convicted on much less evidence.

There is SO MUCH evidence, so obviously you're request for more is just another gambit to say "bbbbut they couldn't PROVE he colluded" as if a criminal hiding his crimes JUST BARELY enough is someone you should support. And not a one of those convictions has anything to do with the Russian conspiracy. It is our conclusion, based on the facts detailed in the Committee's Report, that the
Russian intelligence services' assault on the integrity of the 2016 U.S. electoral process and
Trump and his associates' participation in and enabling of this Russian activity, represents one of

What does your post have to do with the report and the interpretations of the report?

The interpretations cited by DeathMonkey are masterpieces of weaselspeak and deception. Just consider the first paragraph of The Atlantic article:

While Mueller received all the hype, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence kept its head down. Yesterday, having avoided cable speculation almost entirely, the SSCI released the fifth and final volume of a report on Russia’s attempt to sway the last election in Donald Trump’s favor. It finally delivered what Mueller either could not or would not: a comprehensive presentation of the evidence in the matter of “collusion.” The report confirms that Russiagate is no hoax. Whether or not the Trump campaign illegally coordinated with the Kremlin, Trump has no grounds for proclaiming vindication, much less that he’s the victim of a witch hunt.

Notice the last sentence claims that Trump has no grounds for proclaiming vindication even though the author just acknowledged that the basis for such vindication, lack of evidence for illegal coordination with the Kremlin.

The committee fills in the gaps somewhat. It reports that Manafort and Kilimnik talked almost daily during the campaign. They communicated through encrypted technologies set to automatically erase their correspondence; they spoke using code words and shared access to an email account. It’s worth pausing on these facts: The chairman of the Trump campaign was in daily contact with a Russian agent, constantly sharing confidential information with him. That alone makes for one of the worst scandals in American political history.

Unless, of course Kulimnik wasn't a Russian agent. Little fuckups like that would sink a genuine court case. And consider the use of the phrase "confidential information". The author hasn't a clue what was shared - this is supposition.

As maddeningly elliptical as this section of the report may be—and much of it is redacted—it still makes one wonder why Mueller would cut a deal with an established prevaricator like Manafort before pursuing his investigation of Kilimnik to more concrete conclusions.

Say like Mueller didn't have evidence? It's just a waste of time. The only evidence provided here is that there was opportunity to commit the alleged crime via the alleged channels. You need more than a lack of alibi to show wrong doing.

Now, let's consider the Intelligencer article:

Unlike Mueller’s tightly circumscribed criminal probe, the Senate Intelligence Committee report did investigate collusion. The most important evidence of collusion has either already been exposed (Trump officials taking a meeting with a Russian agent offering Vladimir Putin’s help with the campaign) or happened right in front of our eyes (Trump going on television to ask Russia to steal and publish Hillary Clinton’s emails). The real question is how extensively or tightly Trump’s campaign managed to coordinate its activity with Russia. And while it lacked the broad-ranging investigative powers Mueller could have used if he wanted, the Senate Intelligence Committee turned up damning evidence.

Notice that the author starts with the bogus assertion that meeting with "Russian agents" or speaking sarcastically on TV counts as a crime.

Once again, the "damning evidence" is Manafort meets on numerous occasions with a "Russian intelligence agent" with no mention of the content of those meetings.

"Extensive circumstance evidence" means little here and notice the goalposts shifted from "Russian intelligence agent" to campaign manager for some pro-Russia candidate.

Extensive evidence for lack of proof.

Is it too much to ask for evidence next time?

Obama and top officials held an oval office meeting to discuss intercepted phone calls with Michael Flynn and then illegally leaked details to the corporate media. Internal FBI communications reveal that FBI agents conspired to entrap Michael Flynn after their investigation had not found any evidence of a crime and a memo had been issued which recommended that it be ended.

The claim of Russian hacking was made by Fusion GPS, a DNC contractor, and when it came time for them to answer for it in court they admitted that they had zero evidence.

Unless, of course, it's not a lie. A key part of the allegation is that Al Qaeda allegedly organized and committed the attacks - we have clearly identified perpetrators and evidence linking those perps to Al Qaeda operatives in the Middle East, and that Al Qaeda was hosted by the rulers of Afghanistan - who were using substantial numbers of Al Qaeda mercenaries and allowing Al Qaeda leadership to reside in the country. So if your mercenaries commit an act of war that kills 3k people in your local superpower, and you continue to host them afterwards, you're going to have problems.

And frankly, it's well within the capabilities of Al Qaeda to commit such an attack (and plenty of evidence about who actually did crash planes into buildings). It doesn't prove collusion explicitly by Trump for a court of law, like the mafia he is able to say "I had no idea my good friends were doing such bad things!"

Yeah, ok. You got us. We can't put Trump in prison for collusion without further proof, but only brain-dead idiots believe his "Russia, if you're listening" was just a joke or innocent musing.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said, referring to emails Mrs. Clinton had deleted from the private account she had used when she was secretary of state. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

      https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/13/us/politics/trump-russia-clinton-emails.html [nytimes.com]

It was one of the most memorable quotes from the 2016 presidential campaign, and President Donald Trump said the media got it all wrong.

In his Conservative Political Action Conference speech, Trump accused the media of being "dishonest" in its coverage of him inviting Russia to find Hillary Clinton’s emails in a July 2016 press conference.

"Remember this thing, ‘Russia, if you're listening’?’ Remember, it was a big thing, in front of 25,000 people. ‘Russia if you're…’ It was all said in a joke," Trump said Feb. 29. "They cut it off right at the end so that you don't then see the laughter, the joke. And they said, ‘He asked. He asked for help.’ Right?"

      Trump continued:

"Russia, if you're listening… A very famous — they cut that thing so quick at the end because they didn't want to hear the laughter in the place and me laughing. It was just ‘boom.’ These are really dishonest people."
