Screw the mods.
Here's my motion to change the SN default to browse at -1 for all visitors.
If anyone wants to browse at some other level, let them change it for themselves. If they want the change to be permanent, then they need to login. Otherwise they can change it every visit.

We should get excited about "Something!", because the only alternative is nothing, and then you can't get excited because the excitement hormones don't exist. the neural network which gets excited because its connection weights are changed by the hormones also doesn't exist.
so, while this "fusty" personality (whether the product of a single brain or a group of like-minded conspirators) is obviously deranged, believing that we somehow care enough about their excitement to spend time figuring out what is driving their excitement, we should take notice of the ability to get excited.

There is in fact a second alternative: “something else”. While this state has never been observed in inanimate matter, some people are definitely “something else”.
Low pressure neon also has ability to get excited by pulsed electrical currents, but it’s not neural activity. However, neon is noteworthy because it gets brighter when excited, so it actually does something useful.
