Linux user. Tries to keep feeding the brain with stuff. Husband and father of a young lady and a younger son who has autism/is autistic... that nut didn't fall far from this nut-tree, I'll tell ya: he gets it honestly. Now if only he'd sleep..............

I believe that God gave us the science, curiousity and intelligence to one day conclusively prove that God does not exist.

I bought the humble bundle hacking books on sale for myself for Christmas because I'm tired of knowing enough to possibly get myself in trouble but not enough to stay out of trouble.

Some interesting reading, so far.

About 15 books total...DRM free and charitable giving. Nice.

A real hacker would steal illicitly copy those DRM-free books, then hack a bank and donate to charity only after enriching themselves.

      :)
As I said, I know just enough to maybe land on a 'watch list' but not enough to steal money and get away with it, lol.

I'd just like to learn proper pen testing and hacking for good, not evil...this IS CONTROL, not KAOS!

I know youre joking but "hacker" had a different meaning that has morphed into "illegal activity".

There will never be a time when you know so much, that you can keep yourself out of trouble. If nothing else, they will change the technology so much next year (or next decade) that your obsolete knowledge will cause more problems than it was ever worth!

What the hell man? You can't brag about your Christmas purchase and not provide a link.

I expected that as a good Canadian, you'd have it set up to email you about good, charitable stuff like this! :)

I also love the free stuff from Steam and Gog.com.

      No...no links here again.
      Sorry......sorry.....sorry......

I've purchased a couple of book bundles myself. The one I've probably used the most was the Python Programming book bundle. Been having quite a bit of fun tinkering with Python. Even created a program for myself that saves me some tedious work. Just now getting into tinkering with pymarc. I've used MARCEdit, but it doesn't have some of the functionality I want.
