Seriously. There was a wind drakes festival in India a month ago. Small drakes, big drakes, funny contraptions.
Specialty of that feast is, the participants compete in trying to cut each others ropes, so many of those drakes fly away uncontrollably...

I think US Military is complete idiots today. So, that 'octagon' shot down over Lake Huron with a rocket was a drake. No wonder debris is nowhere to find, even by participating 'ufologists' and specops teams.

U.S. Military Says ‘Significant Debris’ Retrieved from Chinese Spy Balloon
Sensors from the first suspected Chinese spy balloon shot down over the U.S. have been recovered from the Atlantic Ocean amongst other “significant debris,” the U.S. military announced late Monday.

The first balloon was of course from China [breitbart.com]. There's certainly enough else being purposefully ignored by the news distraction business.

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden says the hysteria over UFOs being shot down over America and Canada is a distraction from Seymour Hersh’s story about the U.S. being responsible for blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines.

After conducting his own investigation into who sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines via a series of underwater blasts on Sept. 26, Hersh has concluded the United States blew up the Russia-to-Germany natural gas pipeline as part of a covert operation under the guise of the BALTOPS 22 NATO exercise.

Ok, it's technologically feasible and there's motive. But it's dependent on a single source who might be outright lying or not even exist. My take is that if the US really did this, it'll come out in a firmer form than this. They leak.

But we need to keep in mind that this would be a trivial operation for Russia to set up. They would have solid info on US covert operations and could fake it well enough for a journalist.

A mystery object shot down by U.S. fighter jets amid ongoing hysteria sparked by a Chinese 'spy' balloon may have been a $12 inflatable launched by a hobby group in Illinois. The Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade (NIBBB) reported one of its balloons went 'missing in action' around the same location - and at the time time - a U.S. Air Force jet downed an unidentified object near Alaska using a $380,000 sidewinder missile. NIBBB said its 'K9YO' balloon last reported its location shortly before 1am on Saturday, February 11, near the coast of southwest Alaska. Later on Saturday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared an 'unidentified object' was downed over Canada's Yukon territory, several hundred miles from K9YO's last known location. Modeling shared by NIBBB shows its balloon was headed in the direction of Yukon before it vanished - and opens up the possibility it was one of the suspicious objects down by the U.S. military.

Note that I don't particularly believe either party concerning their official announcements about this incident.

As a US citizen following the news, I'm really tired of the way the US is selectively disclosing information in a way that escalates tensions. Intrusive surveillance by both sides has been going on for a while. Balloons included, this is nothing new.
