I think it really is a coup now. Bunch of crazies don't want to follow the law of the land. They want to do away with the supreme Judges of the land, because they are upset over a single ruling. They forecast doom and gloom for women, minorities, gays, children, old folk, normal folk, abnormal folk, and the list goes on.

Ooops - waitaminit.

It's the LEFT WING extremists behind the coup this time!!

Oh, I neglected to mention Murder City Mayor's "call to arms". She presides over one of the most draconian gun jurisdictions in 'Murica, and she has the gall to call her citizens to arms? And - isn't that a lot like coup?

Moltov Cocktails are a favorite of the rightwing terrorists. A lot of the people found at the George Floyd protests with them had link to white supremacists and other far right organizations.

Federal Grand Jury Indicts Three Men For Seeking To Exploit Protests In Las Vegas And Incite Violence [justice.gov]

A federal grand jury indicted Stephen T. Parshall, aka “Kiwi,” 35, Andrew Lynam, 23, and William L. Loomis, 40, all of Las Vegas, for violations of federal law for conspiracy to cause destruction during protests in Las Vegas and possession of an unregistered destructive device, specifically, a so-called “Molotov cocktail.”

U.S. Attorney Nicholas A. Trutanich for the District of Nevada, Special Agent in Charge Aaron C. Rouse for the FBI, and Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department made the announcement.

According to allegations contained in the criminal complaint and indictment, Parshall, Lynam, and Loomis claimed to be members of the “Boogaloo” movement, a term used by extremists to signify a coming civil war and/or collapse of society. From April 2020 to May 30, 2020, the defendants conspired to damage and destroy — by fire and explosives — buildings and property owned by the U.S. Government, as well as a public utility installation. On May 30, the defendants possessed Molotov cocktails to throw at police in downtown Las Vegas, during a protest connected to George Floyd’s death.

Violence at abortion clinics including threats and assaults have increased dramatically in recent years. State laws being passed to restrict abortion are correlated with an increase in violence against abortion clinics. The people complaining about protests at judges' homes aren't on record condemning the violence at abortion clinics. Interesting...

    https://www.vox.com/2015/12/1/9827886/abortion-clinic-attacks-mapped [vox.com]
    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/abortion-clinics-protests-security-rcna27270 [nbcnews.com]

Violence against abortion providers has increased in recent years, according to data collected by the National Abortion Federation, which helps clinics develop security plans. This includes a rise in assaults and threats of harm, from 69 in 2016 to 254 in 2020, the last year the organization made data available.

In recent months, Fowler said, clinics have reported an increase in numbers and intensity of protesters following the enactment of a 2021 Texas law that bans abortions after six weeks of pregnancy and as the Supreme Court heard arguments on a Mississippi law restricting abortion.

By the way, judicial precedent indicates that buffer zones banning protests near abortion clinics are unconstitutional: https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2014/06/26/325806464/states-cant-mandate-buffer-zones-around-abortion-clinics-high-court-says [npr.org]

The Supreme Court has struck down a Massachusetts law mandating a 35-foot buffer zone around clinics that provide abortion services.

Backers of the legislation have said the law treats groups equally, requiring both supporters and opponents of abortion rights to maintain their distance from the clinics. But in a unanimous ruling Thursday, the justices found that the buffer zone infringes on the First Amendment rights of protesters.

If buffer zones around abortion clinics are unconstitutional, surely it's also unconstitutional to ban protests around judges' homes.

This isn't the first time the employees of the clinic have spoken about the precarities of operating the only abortion center in the state. During an episode of the Ms. Magazine podcast, "On the issues with Michele Goodwin," Jackson Women's Health owner Diane Derzis detailed the "violence" she and her employees experience from anti-abortion protesters daily.

"For the last I'd say 30 years, we've been under assault and each year it has worsened," Derzis told Goodwin of the environment outside of her clinic. She said anti-abortion protesters' tactics have "gone way beyond" picket signs with pictures of dead babies on them, but police haven't responded to the clinic's calls for help in the past five years.

Once, they even knocked on the doctor’s front door and presented a small casket and a jar of fetal remains they said they’d taken from outside Atkins’s clinic, according to news accounts and court records.

McMillan made a national name for himself in 1993, after another abortion protester killed a doctor in Pensacola, Fla. McMillan and an activist and minister named Paul Hill began circulating what they called a “Defensive Action Statement.” In it, they declared that murdering an abortion doctor was “justifiable.” The next year, Hill shot and killed another doctor and an escort, and wounded a third person, in Pensacola. The Clarion-Ledger later reported that hours after the crime — for which Hill was executed in 2003 — McMillan went to Atkins’s clinic and confronted Joseph Booker, the lone doctor who worked there.

Violent attacks occurred in other states, too. Between 1977 and 1994, there were 129 bombings and arson attacks at clinics. But few antiabortion activists were as blatant as McMillan was. The New York Times profiled him. He told Time Magazine in 1995, “It wouldn’t bother me if every abortionist in the country today fell dead from a bullet.”

The years Booker worked for Atkins were among the most violent in abortion rights history. Antiabortion activists followed Booker to the grocery store, and they huddled in the driveway outside his house. After Hill killed the abortion doctor and his escort, Booker began wearing a bulletproof vest and an Army helmet. Eventually, federal marshals began providing him around-the-clock security.

just missing a few bits like trying to overthrow the government

So, uhhhhhmmmmm, being accused of trying to overthrow one of the three branches of government is an insurrection. But, attempting to thwart another of the three branches of government is - - - something different. How 'bout you define how and why that something different is different? Maybe you can give it a name? Treason, insurrection, a coup, an uprising, a revolt, viva la revoluccion? I don't know what to call it. All I see is, the left performing the very actions they have been so vocal about for the past 17 months.

        Hypocrisy much?

          https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2022-03-15/trump-big-lie-election-officials-under-siege [latimes.com]:

A new survey by the Brennan Center for Justice found 1 in 6 election officials nationwide said they have been threatened, part of a dramatic rise in tensions as voting and elections have become an increasing political flashpoint.

“These attacks have forced election officials across the country to take steps like hiring personal security, fleeing their homes and putting their children into counseling,” according to the center, a research and policy organization affiliated with New York University.

More than 1 in 4 of those surveyed by the Brennan Center said they were concerned about being assaulted. Over half said they worried about the safety of their colleagues.

More troubling, 30% said they knew of at least one election worker who had left the position in part because of intimidation or increased threats.

          https://www.reuters.com/world/us/one-five-us-election-workers-may-quit-amid-threats-politics-survey-2022-03-10/

In the poll of nearly 600 election officials, more than 75% said threats against election administrators and staff have increased in recent years. The percentage saying they are “very worried” about political leaders interfering in future elections has nearly tripled since before 2020.

Local election officials being harassed and threatened for refusing to support Trump's big lie by overturning a free and fair election? You're totally okay with this.

Peaceful protesters demonstrating in front of SCOTUS judges' homes? The horrors! You want them locked up in jail.
