All weekend I was bothered by a reply someone had made to reply I had posted in the GIF story last week.
This morning I had decided to reply because I felt it was worth it. Unfortunately the comment was from AC so I doubt they would see it.
Essentially I had posted that contrary to recent opinion we conservatives do find value in vaccination. The reply comment was essentially along the lines that other countries do have official vaccination programs that they have good levels of success.
So why bother with the journal? I said I was bothered and to be specific I just mean that in my mind I had more to say and was trying to make the decision as to whether a tertiary reply was worth the effort. I decided to do at least a smidgeon of research and found a couple sources that indicate some truth to the matter. It opened my eyes a little bit. I was not thrilled about the source of the articles but there were at least two unique sources and articles. I am not ready to concede that the United States has the worst health care on earth but there is an important lesson; no matter how sure you are about something you can always benefit from a little research. Whether it proves you wrong or right it will always be worth the while. So while I didn't deem it worth the effort to reply to AC, I figured it was worth the journal effort.
Oh how I loathe the feeling of not knowing something that in my mind should be easy to figure out, yet, still eludes me.
So the other day (06MAR2015) I decided to try SoylentNews IRC, and enjoyed the experience. Knowing there was site maintenance on the 7th I didn't log into anything SN related through the weekend. Since yesterday SN IRC has been failing for me with a timeout or an out right connection refusal.
Am I missing something obvious here? Did Carbon survive the maintenance window? I guess I was expecting something posted to the Site Down Time article regarding success failure of the maintenance.
I wonder if the criterion for defining a "hoarder" extend to collecting open browser tabs? My immediate meat space at home and work are clear but I seem to have trouble letting go of "useful" browser tabs.
I headed a great precinct yesterday for the election. All of my poll workers did a fantastic job at serving the voters. My lone complaint is the poor voter turn out; less than 10%. Great weather, local polling centers, and significant candidate options should have made for a better turn out in my opinion.
I am on the certification kick again, more Cisco this time.
I am finding this time to be much more difficult to find adequate time to study and practice.
As a result I am going to have to push the test date back a few weeks. I hate pushing back dates like these but it's the only option when the list of commitments is too long.
After several recent phone calls from family members, I was curious to know if other S/N users have been threatened with bodily harm after having switched said members to more secure browsing alternatives to IE?
