Except there's no fracturing going on. The alt-right hate Trump, have always hated Trump, continue to hate Trump.

Jr. is seen as a relatively easy to get to target for anyone that hates his dad, as he not only doesn't repudiate his dad but endorses and supports him.

        "emanating from Shapiro"

Wait, wait, you are seriously arguing that the "white nationalist" "alt-right" movement "emanat"(es) from an Orthodox Jew?

"Each submission was as unique as a snowflake, with different referenced sources, and individual introductions and commentary."

Alright, so prove it. Reproduce the entire submissions rather than just the headers.

Or you could take my initial advice and post the best one instead.

Either way, headers prove nothing other than you were hitting submit repeatedly.

        "It's not spamming, it's submitting!"

Uhh, it'd be both, if it's the first.

And repeatedly submitting the same or very similar titles does seem like spamming. Hiding the bodies only makes it look more like spamming.

"When SN began, I noticed a dearth of quality stories in the queue, and so I decided to dedicate myself to filling this lacunae. Then I realized that there was a certain amount of editorial bias."

No, then you noticed they turn down a lot of your submissions and you INFERRED there was some editorial bias.

I'm sure there is *some* editorial bias but it's relatively negligible, and not all one way. Settle down.

Everyone criticizes most of the front page stories for being late. Defense: if you report early you probably get stuff wrong. Counter-attack - you STILL got it wrong!

The whole point to the site is for commenters to hopefully correct and supplement.

The editors have a hard job. I used to think they were biased against me, in fact. But after extensive rumination on the subject, I think it's more a matter of 1) they get spammed and are supposed to be functioning by rules that select for not-quite-too-late-rehashes and 2) I rarely have the confluence of non-work hours, passion, and lucidity for long enough to finish a post since 2010 anyway.

You might consider the ominous parallels.

Unless there has been selective editing of the rejection letters (possible, as I have no evidence for either a true or false determination on "selective editing") these rejection letters are typical 'canned' responses without proper context.

I.e., The space after "... reason:" and before "The editors felt ... " is supposed to contain a statement of a reason why the article was rejected. Yet it is blank.

So we have a situation where a submission was rejected, and the rejection letter is saying: "we rejected for a reason, but we will not tell you what that reason was, nor will we fix it ourselves".

But, unless the submitter knows the "reason" for the rejection, how are they expected to be able to correct it?

So make a second boilerplate item with the long discussed reason included plus the existing boilerplate that is there now,

That's [soylentnews.org] been in place for as long as I've been here (note the uid above).

It's called the Submission Guidelines [soylentnews.org], a link to which is included right on the submissions page:

There are some general things that are recommended when making a story submission which not only enhance the reader's enjoyment of your submission, but will also increase its chance of being accepted in the first instance:

Be neutral and factual in both Subject and Summary. You can wait until the article is posted or, if you must, include your opinion clearly marked as opinion at the end of the Summary
Provide Original Content. Do not copy/paste other people's work.
Avoid paywalled articles if possible. If a paywalled article must be used then mark it as such: [Paywalled]. This is also true for sites that show an advertisement before loading the article.
Use primary sources wherever possible. If an article refers to an original work then link to the original work rather than the article unless the article provides new and relevant information.
Use at least two source links if possible. This gives the reader options and helps insulate against other sites' outages or page removals.
For controversial issues, use source links from sites with opposing biases. If a wolf says he wants sheep for dinner, don't ask another wolf if that is a good idea, ask a sheep.
If there is a study or deeper link listed in one of the articles you are linking to, you should also include that direct link. Some news sites link to study abstracts, and they are the primary source material.
If the new articles that you are linking to reference older articles, you may link to them as well to provide background or quotes.
Explain acronyms for most things. The first time you use it, spell it out. Then on subsequent uses, use the acronym. With our goal of being a global site, things such as the US FAA or British OfCom may not be obvious to those outside those countries.
Wikipedia links are a good source of background information and statistics.
Check that your links are timely. Nothing is worse than warning about something that Snopes disproved 5 years ago.
When quoting a sentence or less, use quotes. When quoting more than a single sentence, use blockquotes, as this make the text stand out more.
Double-check your story in preview prior to submission, including opening all links. The less an editor has to edit, the more chance your submission has of being approved.

There are also some things to avoid:

Don't grumble about rejection of your submission. As the site grows, more people will submit the same story. We are also trying to include a 'reason for rejection' mechanism in the system.
Avoid unauthorized copying. Don't copy/paste from other similar sites - that is simply setting up your editor for failure, or a mocking on IRC. It will also result in any further stories that you submit being passed over in favour of others because of the increased time it will take for the editor to check your story and sources.
While we encourage a global community, the language of the site is English. Avoid links to non-English sources unless you can also provide a link to a good quality translation into English.
Do not use 'linkbaiting' i.e. the practice of including celebrity names or intentionally misleading subjects to entice people to click through from search engines.

          Content:

We aim for around 70% technology and science stories with the remainder being a mix of content with general interest to our community. Unusual stories with a technical theme have a very good chance of being published whereas something obscure and of limited appeal to our community is unlikely to make the front page.

          Links

There are some restrictions regarding the usage of links in submissions. Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in the submission be rejected or, more usually, edited to correct or remove the offending link. The restrictions are:

When making a submission, you are able to post using your username or anonymously. The contact email address field may be left blank but, if it is used, then the link should be to your user page, a personal email address, or a personal (i.e. not commercial) website.

Links in submissions should not direct to a website that is related to political electioneering, sites relating to pornographic or other items of a sexual nature, sites that are considered Not Suitable For Work (NSFW), or to commercial sites unless that site is the subject of the submission.

          Note:

By submitting here you agree that your submission will be edited according to the Submission Guidelines above.

Thanks to GungnirSniper, who provided much of the content of this page.

The UK Home Secretary, Priti "Vacant" Patel, who is pretty far to the right, is proposing a law [theguardian.com] in which the homes of Gypsies and Travellers could be confiscated for the mere suspicion of having committed the crime of trespass.

If this proposal becomes law, “the police will have the power to kick my door in, take my home, arrest me and take the children into care. We won’t get them back because we won’t have a home. Because of my work, I can’t afford a criminal record. When I walk out of the police station, I will have no home, no assets, no children and no career.” It would also leave her without state protection. “Sometimes, we’ve had to call the police when we’re on the receiving end of hate crimes. This legislation would mean we had to go under the radar.” Understandably, she is terrified.

Just try to meet the demands of the editors. Keep things factual, and if you link to an opinion piece at least be using it to present the facts the article is about. It is a bullshit game, but if you have some quality boring factual submissions then the asshats won't be able to keep giving excuses for their censorship.

It has become quite clear this site is infested, but how bad and high up it goes is harder to pin down. If you stop with the theatrics you might gather a little more support from editors who are put off by your style.

If you refuse then all I can assume is your a useful foil and in no way genuine, just another cog in the alt-right propaganda machine.
