Biden “affirmed his priorities of protecting the American people’s security, prosperity, health, and way of life, and preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific,” according to a readout provided by the White House.

So, Biden will continue to buy "made in China" if Xi:
- stops being a jerk with Australia
- reins his abuse kinks and start playing more consensual with the Arab descendants along the historic Silk Road
- stops being a bully in Hong Kong, even if the stop is only for PR reasons
- lets the guys in Taiwan make in peace the videocards for America and stop building new beaches decorated with war planes in South China Sea

In case you weren't aware, as a lot of the sort of 'anti-establishment' outlets propping up have somewhat similarly themed names, Voice of America [wikipedia.org] is literally pro-establishment propaganda. It used to have a modicum of independence, but Obama removed that at the end of his term by adding a clause in the NDAA 2017 that the president was able to unilaterally appoint the CEO of the Broadcasting Board of Governors which manages various state media including VOA.
Kelu Chao [wikipedia.org] has been Biden's interim appointee to oversee our propaganda machine. Ironic in some ways.

That for something like this - what propaganda says they said, and what they actually said, may have very little in common. If they want to inform people on things like this I don't see why not simply release the transcripts. Of course then I'd be hear saying that their actual discussion happens off script (which is probably true anyhow) so damned if you do, damned if you don't in many ways.

Biden obviously doesn't care about China, he's just bringing back the Obama squad, and doubling down on most of Trump's policies. This way, he can advance the war in Syria without much fuss, and take advantage of the majority to push a bunch of cash into financial institutions. Laws can be bought, but politicians can't be...

I'm not the trumper you were looking for, I always knew the China narrative was just as false as Trump's Russia narrative. Biden has been a hawk on every unabsorbed power out there since forever. If you had an attention span longer than a week you might not be lead by the nose so easily.

The advantage of not being an American is that, while the quality of my endeavor may vary, I can afford to mock those in power at the moment.

Eh, I enjoy working on things with my hands. The only down side of a boat for me is it's difficult to find anyone who wants to go fishing as often as I do. If I'm low on socialization lately I'll fish on the dock with the old black preacher men instead of taking out the boat.
