The migrants to Martha's Vineyard were launched from a military base in San Antonio:

Q: And I'll ask you another one quickly, if you don't mind, about, there are some report of tracking -- flight-tracking software of some of these flights that the government of Florida operated taking migrants from the San Antonio area to Martha's Vineyard. There are some fight -- flight-tracking sites that showed that the planes originally took off from Kelly Field at Joint Base Lackland, and I'm wondering if the Pentagon is investigating whether Kelly Field was used to fly migrants, and if there is anything that's being done to look into future uses of Kelly Field or other Defense Department installations in some of these state actions in immigration.

GEN. RYDER: I don't have any information to provide on Kelly Field. I am aware of the migrants that have been brought to Massachusetts, as you highlight...

Uh huh...

So... what did the president know, and when did he know it?

As usual, you contribute negative value to the discussion. Let's talk about what actually happened to the migrants: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2022/09/16/marthas-vineyard-migrants-cape-cod/10398087002/ [usatoday.com].

Amid a firestorm of criticism from advocates and political opponents, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took credit for chartering the two flights and vowed to continue the relocation program Friday.

The migrants who arrived at Martha’s Vineyard were falsely told there would be jobs and housing waiting for them upon arrival, an immigration attorney told journalists Thursday.

The migrants were given the offer of jobs, free housing, and $50 gift cards, according to Domingo Garcia, president of the League of United Latin American Citizens, a Washington-based civil rights group.

He said they were handed red folders with what proved to be fake documents promising jobs and housing, then flown to Martha's Vineyard in private charter planes, stopping at least once along the way.

Many of the migrants have appointments with ICE Monday morning in Texas, Washington, and D.C., Self said – appointments they’re worried about missing.

The migrants were lied to, given fake documents, and prevented from meeting with ICE officials. Not only did DeSantis engage in cruel and inhumane behavior, but he interfered with federal border security enforcement.

DeSantis should be impeached and removed from office for human rights abuses and interfering with federal law enforcement. He needs to be imprisoned for his crimes, along with Greg Abbott and Doug Ducey.

Of course, bigots like you are completely fine with this. You'll support DeSantis because you consider it okay to exploit migrants to "own the libs."

Go ahead, put your political spin on the events. There's nothing new about liberal progressives lying their asses off. There are more jobs available in the northeast United States than there are in flyover country. I want to see those illegal aliens stealing UNION jobs for a change, instead of the low-paying jobs people in the red states hold.

Always remember, it was Joe Burden who told them to "surge the border". Joe wants them here, Joe and his friends can find jobs, food, housing, and medical care for them.

Oh yeah - jobs. Some lib or another has alread pointed out that if they are seeking political asylum, they aren't eligible to work in the US? If so, there are just as many legal jobs in Martha's vineyard for them, as there are in Texas, New Mexico, California, or wherever.

Suck it up and stop whining. If it weren't for Joe Burden's and Democrat's political stunts, we wouldn't have the crisis at the border. Surge that border boys and girls!!

Always remember, it was Joe Burden who told them to "surge the border".

Repeating the same lie doesn't make it true.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYwLYMPLYbo [youtube.com]

Biden said, "We should immediately surge to the border. All those people who are seeking asylum, they deserve to be heard."

That very clearly means that the United States should send enough people to the border to hear asylum claims in a prompt manner, and to quickly decide whether to grant or reject their applications. Biden obviously did not tell migrants to surge to the border. He said, "We should immediately surge to the border." Unless you are claiming that Biden is planning to show up at the border to seek asylum, that is clearly not directed at migrants but a course of action for US immigration officials.

Of course, if you provided the entirety of the quote and gave proper context, it would be clear that your interpretation is patently false. That's why you just cherry pick three words to claim that Biden said something when, in fact, what he said was quite different.

There's no point in addressing the rest of your drivel when you include a boldface lie like that. If your opinions were actually worth taking seriously, you wouldn't feel the need to include blatant and egregious lies like that.

I would in fact make sure that there is, that we immediately surge to the border, all those people are seeking asylum, they deserve to be heard, that's who we are, we are a nation who says if you want to flee and you're fleeing oppression you should come.

Unclear run-on sentence and surging aside, "we are a nation who says if you want to flee and you're fleeing oppression you should come" certainly sounds to me like he invited them.

About that statue, and about that poem:

Neither are part of the legal system in this country. The statue was a gift from France, and the poem was written by some woman, then put on a placard, and affixed to the statue. You want the statue? Take it. The woke generation is tearing down statues around the country anyway, one more won't matter much.

And, yes, the immigrants heard what Joe said. "Surge the border". I heard it, they heard it, the immigrants acted on what they heard.

I think we should keep the statue. It's a beautiful symbol and reminder of the 1880s, when France was a very different place, and so was this. Turns Out the Illegals Sent to Martha’s Vineyard Weren’t Deceived About Their Destination

Surprise, surprise. It turns out the activist media lied got it wrong again.

Remember when leftists, in their full-on meltdown over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis transporting illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard, shrieked about the notion that these individuals were not told where they were going?

Yeah, looks like that particular narrative wasn’t exactly in line with reality.

I told you it would be surprising, didn’t I?

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that the illegals who were transported to the white progressive haven at Martha’s Vineyard knew exactly where they were going. In fact, they obtained the documents these individuals were given before making the trek to the island.

And, what’s more: “Yes, they were asked multiple times if they wanted to go,” a source told the news outlet, which also reported:

The packets included a map with Martha’s Vineyard marked with a red star with the label “YOU ARE HERE,” written in both English and Spanish. The packets also had documents with local resources, including the contact information for community services and churches in the area, potential employment opportunities and public assistance programs.

“They were given rolling backpacks, food, snacks throughout, clothing, necessities like toothbrush, toiletries, etc.,” the source explained. “This is what was in the packet given to every migrant.”

These were the documents migrants were given before they boarded planes to Martha’s Vineyard. They clearly show the destination and provide options for local resources in the area. pic.twitter.com/6Diuu9ARJw

          — Jennie Taer (@JennieSTaer) September 16, 2022

Nevertheless, some of the illegals told reporters that they were not informed about their destination before getting on the planes. The Boston Globe claimed one of the illegals told the outlet that he was told he could go to Boston. Others said the same to NPR.

Rachel Self, an immigration attorney in Boston, showed reporters a map of the United States with a line connecting Texas to Massachusetts with a dot on Martha’s Vineyard, according to the Miami Herald.

So the illegal immigrants were told where they were going. It is possible they were not familiar with the geography, but the fact of the matter is that they voluntarily boarded those planes and knew where they were traveling.

But this is not the first time the activist media has attempted to convince its audience that Republican governors sending illegal aliens to blue cities were deceiving them. You might remember when the Abbott Express first expanded its operations to New York City. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and New York City Mayor Eric Adams both claimed that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott was busing illegals to their cities against their will and without telling them where they were going. But, shockingly, it was a CNN reporter who exposed this lie.

CNN National Correspondent Gary Tuchman spoke with migrants who told him that none of them had been forced onto the buses and that they took the ride voluntarily. He explained that “each passenger we talked to [said] they appreciate getting the air-conditioned bus ride to what they hope is a much better road ahead.”

As this saga continues, we can expect to see more spin from the activist media, which has had difficulty in portraying this issue in a way that benefits their comrades in the Democratic Party. The question is: Will it work?
