If he doesn't hand them over, it is just another charge to add to the pile. Asking for specific documents that they know they had access to thanks to the folders and having no accounting of them will look much, much worse to a jury than the vague requests made so far.

As much as I'd like to agree with you what a load of crap. Trump was the former president and has a hold over a small but sizeable group of people that will gladly start burning the country down if Trump's criminal actions are not handled beyond above board. If it is truly just political games then this country is doomed. Trump must be held accountable if the US wants anyone, including their own citizens, to respect the rule of law. There is no longer any urgency, the classified docs are already compromised so rushing law enforcement will do nothing other than set off the MAGA extremists. Why does not the janrinok hand over the documents confirming the doxxing of the nortorious antisemite, and bean-farmer? The effect is still the same, that you want to remind Runaway that you know his name, his employer, where he lives, and lots of other information about him.

There are two ways I know this.
I can independently verify some details about Runaway's geographic location based on information that he has freely made available. He provided the name of his state representative [soylentnews.org], which corresponds to the former Arkansas House district 4 [ballotpedia.org]. He also free indicated that he lives roughly an hour from Texarkana [soylentnews.org]. This is information Runaway has freely shared, and allows me to determine his approximate location. It takes less than ten minutes to find this information by searching SoylentNews comments for "Arkansas", choosing the oldest comments first, and reading the comments posted by Runaway. Then a simple search for Arkansas state representatives allows me to find the district he lives in. I have zero desire for more precise information about Runaway or his location and have made no effort to obtain a more precise location. The addresses that you posted would be consistent with what I can independently confirm about Runaway.
Moreover, I have reported some of those posts to the admins. They are aware of the actual information you posted about Runaway on IRC, which I have not seen. This allows the admins to compare what you've posted on SoylentNews to the address you apparently posted on IRC. In some cases, the admins have replied to my emails reporting your comments. I have a bit of insight on what you're doing from my conversations with the admins.
Because that the addresses posted are slightly different each time, at most one can be correct. Given that there are small variations, it stands to reason that they are all slightly incorrect posts about where Runaway lives. More recently, you created an account [soylentnews.org] with a username that could plausibly contain Runaway's real name based on the other comments you've posted.
There is a very large amount of evidence that you doxxed Runaway and that you are continuing in your efforts to harass him. There is no valid reason for you to ever post what you purport is Runaway's real address. Posting that many times, as you have done, indicates that you are engaged in a campaign of harassment and intimidation against Runaway. Pretending otherwise is insulting to everyone's intelligence.

SoylentNews was created to be a tech site. You've repeatedly stated that you're not really interested in discussing technology and instead want political discussions. You must have control of that email account for you to have received that message - which is one you have seen many times. It is the one you get when we disable a sock puppet account, for which you used the same email address - AGAIN. So it is not showing a new user account being blocked, but a sock puppet account being detected and blocked.
It was 1 of 9 accounts that you created on 4 October, 5 of which used the SAME email address.
I don't care who you will now claim that you are - you have compromised yourself. All sock puppet accounts are blocked when they are detected.

If you had an unwanted neighbour who kept walking into your home uninvited, sitting down in a chair and changing the TV to something that interested him, would you ignore him? After all, if you do not respond he will surely get bored and eventually stop. Mustn't feed the 'troll', so to speak.
We tried that - it didn't work. Much of 2021 was under those rules and it continued until around 12 months ago. As aristarchus himself kept pointing out however, appeasement never works. We are learning that lesson again elsewhere in the world today. Those managing the site came to a similar conclusion.
I suspect you too would make your feelings known to your unwanted visitor. And if that didn't work you would start taking further actions, locking the door maybe, fitting a alarm perhaps? We have done the same. Initially we asked aristarchus to stop. He didn't. Subsequently he pushed it too far and began doxing a member of our community with accusations of paedophilia, animal abuse, unpaid debts, a criminal record - all claims that remain unsubstantiated. For many in our community that was the final straw and they left. He attempted to incite others to take the physical action against a community member that he himself was unwilling or unable to do. He was therefore banned for doxing and not, as he frequently claims, because of his views or so that we could stifle free speech. Yet he continued to disrupt the site.
Since that time he has created several hundred false accounts and continued as he had before on the site. We have continually upped our game and made it increasingly difficult for him to do so. I do not think that he has gone for good, but it has now become far more time consuming for him to create such accounts. This is no guarantee that he will not continue.
There is much that must be done to recover the site to what it was a few years ago. But it is all pointless if the abusive environment continues to drive away those members who actually enjoy visiting this site. We have to continue to fund our operations. We have to increase our membership, we have to have improve the quantity and quality of the submissions that we receive and subsequently post. I cannot address any of this issues when my time is being wasted elsewhere. The small number of staff is sufficient to keep the site operational, but if we have no 'community' in the full sense of the word we cannot move forward. We need a period of stability and relative calm.
Each of the steps that we have taken throughout this year has been carefully considered and only taken when we have had no alternatives. We hope that in the future we will be able to return the site closer to what it once was.

Janrinok has learned from Runaway1956 the tactic of taking a spanked journal entry off line by posting another! And they said he couldn't learn. But more and more, it looks to be that the editors are moving to journals to avoid their own censorship. No comments on the front page, because true ACs are banned? Not sure what to do about it?
