Three people were injured Friday night when panicked audience members "self-evacuated" during a performance of the musical "Hamilton" in San Francisco, police said.

A woman in the audience had a medical emergency during the scene in which the title character, Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, is shot on stage, said Joseph Tomlinson, public information officer for the San Francisco police.

Audience members mistakenly thought there was a real-life shooting and rushed the exits, he said.

I have to agree. If someone claims there's a shooter, a mass panic is the worst possible response. Almost as bad is what happened in the French nightclub, where people packed into the toilets. Either just gives the hypothetical shooter a bunch of easy targets.

The only answer is the flight 93 answer. Yeah, I know, easy to say - still, I hope that's how I would respond in the situation.

Three thumbs up. Lots of people want to be remembered as a hero, for whatever they did or didn't do on 9/11/01. The real heroes took the plunge into a Pennsylvania hillside.

A lot of people can do what those heroes did. The problem is, we have been conditioned to submit. If we ever stop conditioning submission into our children, we won't need to fear anyone, or anything.

Your lack of military experience is showing. I am the weapon. All of those things that YOU think of as weapons, are merely tools to me. I would prefer to have the proper tool for the job at hand, but I can always find SOME KIND of tool. Using your ball point pen as a weapon seems ludicrous, but the hijackers used tools only slightly more suited to the job than a ballpoint. Boxcutting knives? FFS - the ONLY reason they got away with it, was the conditioning drilled into our population for the prior 30 years.

Scared stupid people build walls. Makes them feel better, even though the data shows walls aren't the best value for the money.

At public gatherings, walls, gates, and other such restrictions on movement get people killed. Business owners have locked employees inside the workplace, thinking that would reduce various forms of theft and malingering. Instead, as was shown at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory, that practice condemned a lot of innocent workers to death when a fire broke out. Burglar bars have also caused deaths by preventing people from fleeing from a fire.

Animals have lots of tricks of a similar sort that work against other animals, but which are completely useless against people with technology. A turtle's shell is a sort of personal wall, and is no defense whatsoever against a human with a few simple tools. A big rock is enough to beat a turtle shell. Another method is to cage the turtle and wait it out. Similarly, porcupine quills are no defense against humans with a few simple tools.

How is it possible for you to literally lower the collective IQ of the entire room when you walk in?

Statements like yours are so far from any grounding in fact or reality that they cannot even be described as wrong anymore.

Dollars don't carry an interest. We don't owe anything "for each one circulating".

If we owed a debt, it would be a debt to ourselves, payable in dollars. So that doesn't work now does it?

There is nothing wrong with fractional reserve banking in and of itself. The problem is when the fractional part gets too small to service the needs of all customers. Such as during a bank run. But with the advent of electronic currency, this is no longer an issue because you aren't carrying paper around.

The paper in your wallet has less and less relevance with each passing day. Paper money is the new gold. People want it because they believe it has some intrinsic value, and just like gold, it doesn't. Money is only worth what you can buy with it and If SHTF, you aren't going to be able to trade paper for food, water, fuel, bullets etc, any easier than trading gold for those things. But at least with paper money you can wipe your ass with it.

In the meantime, please take an economics course and learn something instead of regurgitating conspiracy theories, especially ones so easy to disprove.
