The MIT Technology Review has an article up on Swedish journalists and researchers who expose internet trolls.
Back at the Troll Hunter office, a whiteboard organized Aschberg’s agenda. Dossiers on other trolls were tacked up in two rows: a pair of teens who anonymously slander their high school classmates on Instagram, a politician who runs a racist website, a male law student who stole the identity of a young woman to entice another man into an online relationship. In a sign of the issue’s resonance in Sweden, a pithy neologism has been coined to encompass all these forms of online nastiness: näthat (“Net hate”). Troll Hunter, which has become a minor hit for its brash tackling of näthat, is currently filming its second season.
This article covers the television show Trolljägarna (Troll Hunter), and the activities of a group of volunteer researchers called Researchgruppen (Research Group) in tracking and exposing internet trolls and touches on the privacy issues and potential backlash from other groups of this kind of work.

Trolling is only a natural form of pushback caused by a society which eschews honesty in place of phoney modesty. Sure, some trolling is pathological, but I wouldn't call it an issue of public health or safety. Bullying has always existed in various forms, and is a problem with very human nature so it won't be going away anytime soon.
Regarding the so-called "Troll-hunters," they kinda remind of me of the people from Perverted Justice, totally maladjusted and angry wrecks and losers who are very obviously compensating for their lack of success at life if not their reaction-formation self-hatred for their feeling the same very urges. Angry losers displacing their aggression on others under the guise of righteousness.
Although in this case it's slightly different. Swedish men, after all, are known for being legendary effeminate cuckolds and sit idly by and watch as their flawless women are being swept of their feet by African immigrants.

I rest my case, actually reading the article because I was curious to see just why the so-called "racist" politicians were being labeled "racist."
Lo and behold, they were being called "racist" for saying that Muslim immigrants are "like Locusts." Just as in Fight Club, it happened to be that it was on the tip of everybody's tongue even though the participants didn't mention it publicly. Maybe Muslim immigrants are the problem? The same technique is being used by American liberals, that is, to label everybody who doesn't agree with amnesty and unfettered illegal immigration "racist" no matter how professionally the anti-immigration argument was delivered.
You whiny bed-witting thumb-sucking folks had best shut your itchy mouths with using the word "racist," hence you dilute its meaning and reduce its impact to nothingness while insulting the folks like the Freedom Riders [wikipedia.org] who were on the receiving end of real racism like beatings and being set on fire.

Both about "racist" politicians and about "superior" swedish woman...
Every time has it's own trends and rewards... In this time and age, you can't speak bad about the muslims and it is a reward in it self to call someone a racist, for any shady reason.

Yeah, that is precisely why I like to say that all bigotry is a problem of bad math.
People think that their personal anecdotes are representative.
Oddly enough, most such people are smart enough to realize that in any other context a non-random sample size that small can't possibly be accurate. But people love to hate, it is so comforting to have an enemy, someone to look down on. So once someone gets stuck in that rut, it takes enormous strength of character to get out. Typically what they do is start looking for more biased anecdotes to rationalize their bias rather then seek out a better analysis.

As you're replying to me, I fear you misunderstand me: I have a hard time getting worked up about racism on the internet. I roll my eyes every time I see the words "white privilege", or really any "privilege" at all. I'm also much more disturbed by "real" racism, like people getting beaten to death by hammers for the color of their skin. I was just pointing out a consistent trend in the subject matter of your posting, and how it is easy to consider it to be trollish. Personally, I find it strange that a group so intent on making sure that everyone is respected in spite of their beliefs or who they are generally appears to viciously hates people who dislike people based upon their beliefs, i.e. your "liberals" against anything perceived as racist.
Also, food for thought: There are people out there who would consider the very fact that you're interested in fucking a Mexican woman racist, or that you're sexist bastard for desiring intercourse with a woman at all. Granted, most of them are on Tumblr, but I still think that there is a strong possibility that a large majority of humanity (perhaps including myself) is just utterly insane. But I just keep to myself and write code mostly. I think everyone else has more of a handle on the world beyond that. They certainly have stronger opinions on the matter than I do.
