A replica of Denmark in Minecraft, which was reported here, has been vandalised with some areas blown up and flags of the United States created.

Only a small area was destroyed and the flags appeared near the starting point, which points to just attention seeking as opposed to a virtual liberation attempt. Other players have cleaned up the damage, replacing it with green grass and flowers.

Exactly as we saw with the boneheaded "I heart NYPD" publicity campaign you can't just throw a thing out there wide open with zero moderation or thought without the jokers finding a way to get their LULZ. Honestly they are lucky all they did was a little trashing, I have seen trolls do everything from putting Nazi symbols all over everything to putting malware in open systems to that one extra scummy troll on Slashdot a few years back that thought it was hilarious to do rickrolls with CP.

If there is one thing we should all know by now its that ANY thing left wide open on the net WILL be vandalized, the only question is to what extent. This is why we can't have nice things, you throw a little party and say everyone is invited only to have a bunch of douchebags show up, shit in the punchbowl and make off with the silverware.
