Hey Valve, how about making Half-Life 3 and just leaving the video distribution to the professionals?

I really don't need your stupid movies.

I hear Half Life 3 will be a streamable interactive movie on Steam.

Never mind HL3. What about HL2 Episode Three already?!

Officially canceled in favor of HL3(eventually), just an FYI, since you didn't know.

Argh! Thanks. I never found anything official so I assumed they left it as vaporware. I'd rather they made both of them.

Would you mind sharing a truly official link about the cancellation please? I've still found almost nothing. According to wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_%28series%29 [wikipedia.org]. This article [denofgeek.com] seems to have the most information about what's been said by Valve over the years.

There's a Mirror article around the start of this year claiming what you said but elsewhere that's dismissed as rumor and a lot of people would take anything written there with a pinch of salt.

HL3 is not going to make them any money anymore. They have settled on CS:GO as their perpetual money making machine, got everyone on PC hooked on Steam, and now focusing on SteamOS and VR. They are not a content delivery company.
