To troll the easily offended.
On topic, I thought the prevailing consensus was that homo sapiens outbred and killed off or absorbed non-sapiens humans. I have no doubt climate played a role in the rapid rise of sapiens, but Neanderthals, denisovians, etc, should have been stronger, with larger brains, and better adapted to northern climates... They disappeared when homo sapiens absorbed their territory and pushed beyond.
