Key witness in Assange case jailed in Iceland after admitting to lies and ongoing crime spree

Sigurdur Thordarson, a key witness for the FBI against Julian Assange, has been jailed in Iceland. The notorious alleged hacker and convicted pedophile was remanded to custody in Iceland's highest security prison, Litla Hraun, on September 24. Þórðarson´s lawyer, Húnbogi J. Andersen, confirms that he is in custody. Thordarson was given immunity by the FBI in exchange for testimony against Julian Assange.

Thordarson was arrested the same day he arrived back in Iceland from a trip to Spain, and was subsequently brought before a judge after police requested indefinite detention intended to halt an ongoing crime spree. The judge apparently agreed that Thordarson's repeated, blatant and ongoing offences against the law put him at high risk for continued re-offending.

[...] Thordarson is a key witness for the United States Justice Department according to documents presented to a UK court in an effort to secure the extradition of Julian Assange. He was recruited by US authorities to build a case against Assange after misleading them to believe he was previously a close associate of his. In a recent interview with Stundin he admitted to fabricating statements to implicate Assange and contradicted what he was quoted as saying in US court documents. In fact he had volunteered on a limited basis to raise money for Wikileaks in 2010 but was found to have used that opportunity to embezzle more than $50,000 from the organization. Julian Assange was visiting Thordarson's home country of Iceland around this time due to his work with Icelandic media and members of parliament in preparing the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative, a press freedom project that produced a parliamentary resolution supporting whistleblowers and investigative journalism.

From what has been made public of their activities, the FBI and CIA appear to share much of the ideology of nazi/fascist/alt-right/conservative*/kkk/christian identity/whatever Nazis are re-branding themselves as, at the moment.

        E.g.,
MKULTRA - horrific human experimentation that would make any Nazi proud
COINTELPRO - far-right white supremacist (Nazi-esq) operation against civil rights
And, the too numerous to list, campaigns of torture, assassination, terror, etc.

        * Real conservatives are not these people, but Nazis have co-opted the term.

Nope. The OSS and thus the CIA was full of Jews. Remember the "lamp shades made of Jew skin" psyop? Do you think it's a coincidence Biden, the race traitor, was made president through election fraud while he mobilizes the FBI to hunt out "the #1 threat of white supremacy" while appointing nearly all Jews to cabinet positions, while NGOs (non-gentile organizations) bring in millions of hostile non-whites and teach them in our own schools (bolshevik babysitters) that whitey is inherently evil? The USA has been increasingly owned by the Jews since at least 1913. This is why we stupidly killed our racial brothers in WW1 and WW2, went to Vietnam (uss liberty? Kennedy assassination?) and have since been busy destabilizing the middle east for the Greater Israel project, and allowing the NGOs to ship those refugees into Europe, while White race traitors get rich?

As far as the FBI and civil rights. No non-whites should be in America. America is a nation founded by whites, for whites. The fact that they are still here is further evidence we have a parasitic infection. It starts from birth when brainwashed white parents let their newborn boys have their genitals mutilated, and later in childhood, when white children are taught the JEW psyop of Christianity. We have to break the spell and rid white nations of the Jew. The international Jew will undoubtedly start WW3 over any white nation trying to expel the parasite like they did in WW2, but it has to be done.

It's still taking a while for his case to be taken seriously by our government, because the Prime Minister at the time of the Chelsea Manning leak (John Howard) was furiously rolling onto his back in front of Bush Jr in an attempt to have his belly rubbed.

The Government at the time (Liberal/National Coalition) did everything they could to distance themselves from Assange and basically said to the US: "Do whatever you want". Public sentiment began to become much more sympathetic to Assange as more information came to light, and I think it was a factor that helped lead to the Lib/Nat defeat in 2007. Despite that, the new Labor Government didn't seem to care much more about Assange either.

Most Australians would like to see Assange freed, and there's finally enough recognition at the Government level that Assange's 1-way pre-booked ticket to Gitmo is not going to go well with the voters in Aus. I think the US believes the diplomatic fallout of stringing Assange up is manageable however, and so will ignore Australia's current representations.

Yup, even if our government got behind it - I doubt the US will care much. We're desperate and the US knows it as well - with Chinese White Elephant finally being called out (kudos to Scomo - don't like him much but at least he didn't turn like Kevin Rudd and called the South China Sea Bully for what it is), we need allies to meet that threat and the only option is the US and the US knows this too. That's a real shame, in that case. I generally don't trust directors who are willing to mangle material in such ways. I thought #2 and #3 were the manglings that I should avoid (I think there's even an XKCD about that), but it seems as if the mangling started in #1.

In a proper brain-using matrix, as I imagine it, could use the power of all the brains to generate the shared fake experience that the brains would then be fed. It wouldn't work with only a small number of brains, they couldn't create a complex enough imagined universe to fool the brains that it was real for long. However, once you've got a critical mass, you have a "singularity" moment, and it would gain emergent intelligence great enough to fool any one of its individual nodes that what it was experiencing was real, and after that, there's no way back. Could have been a cool movie.

OTOH, don't waste time with wannabe-serious movies, and watch /Free Guy/ instead. It's basically Matrix-meets-Lego.

Agent Miller: Mr. Thordarson, we know you're a convicted pedophile and have a few other things on your slate. But we are willing to make you an offer.
    Thordarson: Yes?
Agent Miller: We'd need you to testify against Mr. Assange.
Thordarson: Uh... I know jack about that guy.
Agent Miller: We're willing to give you immunity in exchange for your testimony.
Thordardson: I see. Well, could you tell me what I know that he did so I can properly testify?

he admitted to fabricating statements to implicate Assange

The question is: why did he do that.

Either he held a grudge against Assange or he got a wad of cash from the FBI. If it's the latter, I'd like to see someone indicted States-side too.

Or both. Assange sacked him and sued him twice, so the former is definitely a motive; and the FBI's the FBI, the latter should be considered the null hypothesis.
