Starbucks is: expensive. complicated coffee-related or coffee-adjacent well marketed.
It can be a good place to sit (some have comfy chairs) and "free" wifi used to be a good thing (with modern mobile data plans, becoming irrelevant)
Coffee from a proper machine, a good barista, and made with proper roasted beans and good milk (or milk substitute) is completely different - but Australian Starbucks can make a drinkable version of an Australian latte.
