Hundreds of fast food workers are striking nationwide Tuesday, joining other workers in pressing for a more livable wage. But while some say $15 is a minimum needed to survive, some business owners say dishing out more pay would leave them struggling to keep their doors open.

Submitters comment: I started out making $2 an hour in the mid 1970s. I advanced myself by learning a trade, made my way up the totem pole, and lived comfortably while at the same time supporting my family the entire time. I'm now retired and find this $15 per hour demand totally unfair to the people who worked hard to better themselves.
