Porsche has just announced the Mission E [porsche.com], their first-ever electric vehicle. A prototype [cnnphilippines.com] was unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in September, but the board of Porsche AG (which is owned by Volkswagen) has only now approved it for mass production. They're planning to start selling it by the end of the decade. A price has not been announced, but Top Gear [topgear.com] speculates that it will be in the neighborhood of £100,000 ($150,000).
