DHI Inc (Dice Holdings) has sold [dhigroupinc.com] the once-venerable Slashdot [slashdot.org] and SourceForge [sourceforge.net] sites to BIZX, a tourism and VoIP website media company. [bizx.info] The price for the sites was not announced. In 2012, Dice Holdings paid $20 million dollars for Slashdot, SourceForge, and the now-defunct Freecode (formerly Freshmeat). Other sites from BIZX include Wirefly [wirefly.com], MyRatePlan [myrateplan.com], VoIPReview [voipreview.org], and VoIP-Info [voip-info.org].
On Twitter, founder and former owner of Slashdot Rob 'CmdrTaco' Malda posted [twitter.com] "The rumor is that the entire Slashdot staff has been let go except for the lucky few that get to train their replacements!"
