According to a report in the "Times of Malta" [timesofmalta.com], Tony Dyson, the creator or Star Wars R2D2 has passed away. Mr. Dyson, who has lived on the Maltese island of Gozo for a number of years, was found dead at his residence after friends became concerned that he had not been seen for a number of days. An investigation is under way but at this stage there is no suspicion of foul play.
