European Space Agency (ESA) and Roskosmos (Russian state corporation) launched a joint Mars mission today on a Proton rocket from Baikonur. The mission includes an orbiter and a landing module, named Schiaparelli. One of the goals of the mission is testing the Mars amosphere.
