Social Media Users' Brains Scanned with fMRI

Accepted submission by butthurt at 2016-03-17 18:47:11
Science

The brains of users of a social media site have been examined with fMRI [wikipedia.org]. The resulting images appear to indicate that when people disclose information about themselves, activity takes place in specific parts of the brain already known to be active when people think about themselves. The research was published in Scientific Reports [nature.com].
