At Laughing Squid is the link to an animation by Alexey Zakharov which uses camera projection [laughingsquid.com] to synthesise some elaborate "film" footage of early 20th century US cities from still image sources:
It’s a travel back in time with a little steampunk time machine. The main part of this video was made with Camera projection based on photos.
