On June 7, 2016, weather radar near Columbus, Indiana showed what looked like a pop-up thunderstorm, but is now being reported as a release of military chaff [whio.com]. The cloud was visible on radar for more than six hours, drifting ESE before finally dissipating south of Cincinnati.
