The court case on the Microsoft licensing corruption scandal in Romania [wordpress.com] has ended on October 3rd, writes Olimex Ltd in their blog post based on an announcement in Romanian [mediafax.ro]. The investigation found that more than 100 people, including former ministers, the mayor of Bucharest, and various businessmen were involved in this latest corruption scandal involving M$. More than 20 millions euro were paid by M$ there as bribes. The Romanian court ruled in March 2016 on sentences of 8 years in prison and 9 millions euro of asset forfeiture for the 4 main people in the picture. No word on the corresponding cases in other countries [zdnet.com], which include Russia and Bulgaria.
