An amber fossilized specimen has been determined to be the tail of a dinosaur, with intact feathers [nytimes.com].
"When it hit my desk, I was blown away," Dr. Ryan McKellar said. "It’s one of those things where you’re like 'Wow, it's the closest you'll ever get to holding a fleshed-out dinosaur in your hands.'"
The article has incredible closeup pictures of the feathers, and it states that the source dinosaur was probably the size of a sparrow.
