Last Wednesday, an Indian engineer working for Garmin was shot and killed, and two other people were injured when a man opened fire in an Olathe KS bar [kansascity.com]. The perpetrator had before been ejected for offensive comments made against the engineer (including "Get out of my country!"), then reentered the bar with a shotgun. Two bystanders intervening on the fatally shot victim's behalf also were shot, one is still in hospital, while the other was released. The perpetrator then fled the scene and was arrested 70 miles away in a Missouri bar. It has been reported that the alleged perpetrator suffers from alcoholism and recent family issues.
