According to the fine publication, The New York Post [nypost.com],
Readership at Breitbart’s alt-right website is wilting, according to a report.
The site, which had been run by former White House strategist Steve Bannon before being pushed out in January, has lost half its readership since October, Politico reported Tuesday.
The website went from 15 million unique visitors in October to 7.8 million in February, the report said, citing numbers from comScore, an audience tracking service.
The figures for January were down 51 percent from a year earlier and February’s was down 49 percent from the previous February.
Hmm.
The report blamed a number of factors on the decline, including Facebook changing its newsfeed algorithm to rely less on media organizations, an increased digital presence by Fox News and the decline of Bannon’s influence.

Asked whether Breitbart is in trouble, MediaRadar CEO Todd Krizelman said, “From an advertising perspective yes, very clearly.” He cautioned, though, that it is impossible to know how much the site makes from other sources, like selling merchandise. The site also is backed by wealthy conservative donor Rebekah Mercer, though her father, Robert, has already disassociated himself from it.
The Mercers are also owners of Cambridge Analytica, the campaign-data firm that has been accused of mining user data from Facebook.
Lord have Mercer!
