Despite making nearly two billion at the box office the 2019 Lion King remake was fully appreciated by audiences with many critics taking aim at the lack of facial expressions. In response to the ongoing criticism artist Nikolay Mochkin and Instagram user @jonty_pressinger worked together redo parts of the movie with Deepfake style technology [news.com.au] to give the characters more expressive range [youtube.com]. The result has been hailed as a success with people asking the duo to remake the entire movie in this style.
