Career & Education

Educators around the world are worried either about ChatGTP & co ruining education or alternatively that AI will make their jobs obsolete. It would be so much more productive if we focused on how to promote real learning and curiosity through augmenting students with AI. Allow me to share three interesting examples Sascha Lobo inc included in his latest OpEd in Der Spiegel (article in German): [spiegel.de]

Disclaimer: I am working at www.42.berlin [42berlin.de] & www.42wolfsburg.de [42wolfsburg.de] where we pursue a pretty radical pedagogical approach to higher education: we dont have any professors/trainers, no lecutures, no schedules - instead we focus 100% on peer-learning. The model and software engineering curriculum has been evolved since 2013 and is now used by approx 18'000 learners in more than 25 countries. See e.g. Learning to be Free - Considerations on the 42 Philosophy [medium.com] (Senges, 2020). As such I am super interested to learn how AI can aument our learners and would love to learn about other good examples as well as fails?
