Freescale debuts tiny ARM based microcontroller

So small it'll fit into the dimple of a golf ball, and selling for 75 cents, Freescale is hoping its tiny Kinetis KL03 MCU will bring computing to your toaster, and everything else under the sun. The 48MHz ARM core won't be powering a smart phone any time soon, but has far more processing power than early PDAs, and more than enough for your refrigerator to know who to blame for any late-night snacking.
