The Linux Foundation's Open Source Summit EU has ended in Prague.
The Register has a good writeup -- with extensive links [theregister.com] -- about the two focal points of the summit, AI and Digital Sovereignty.
Apart from that, it is well worth a quick rifling through the other Summit presentations, for example the Siemens' presentation "Triaging CVEs for the Linux Kernel" [sched.co]. One takeaway there is that something must have happened around 2020. While 200-300 CVEs were kinda the norm before, in 2021 the number of CVEs jumped five-fold, doubling again in 2022 and so on until we ended up with 6317 CVEs for 2026, to date.
Something happened, but what?
